Jags at Giants score predictions (merged)

20-17 Jags. I think we'd beat them handily a few games into the season but first game on the road is going to be tough.

If this team has same mentality as last year they win easy. They show up in big games. Opening day, regardless of opponent, is a big game. Bad sign if they lose.

Yeah I'd go with something around that. It's either a blowout win for the Jags or a close loss. I'll go 27-10 Jags.

Games are won in the trenches and ours are significantly stronger on both sides.

I see the Jags starting out fast and building a big lead but ease off the peddle a bit in the second half letting the Giants score a couple late TDs. 30-21 Jags.
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

I don’t know why I’m nervous about this game but oh well. Opening season jitters

My main concerns are Barkley and Manning. Barkley because he’s a wild card, and Manning because he’s a vet

The Jags don't struggle often in the passing game but when they do, it's against QBs with a quick release (Jimmy G and Brady) or ones that are mobile. QBs that hold the ball too long get absolutely torched so the Giants offense plays right into the Jags hands.

Saquan Barkley is real. I hope our defense is ready for some teeth rattling tackles.

If some of the reports that I have read are truly indicative of the poor state of the Giant's O-line Eli is probably trembling in his cleats at the thought of our D-line.

I think I said it in another thread (hoping my prediction is the same anyway lol)
23-10 Jags win

Jags D scatters, covers, and smothers... like Waffle House hashbrowns...
Giants D keeps it close until 2nd half where the D will likely help us pull away with a turnover or two.

Odell is held to less than 50 yards.
Saquan Barkley held to less than 50 yards.
Bortles is turnover free.

We need to build momentum. It is such a crucial part of the NFL. It's a new year, we have a better team than last year and more experienced team. You have to establish your identity early though and build momentum to stack wins in this league.
No pain, no gain.

The D would have to score like 3 td's... Can't see us opening up the offensive bag too wide this early in the season. Then again, Giants O may force our hand.
