Parnell will either be cut or restructured to stay on as depth at a cheaper rate. ...

I hear you, but ASJ hasn't done much here, even before he got hurt and he didn't do much for the jets. He just has the name for being a first rd pick. Def need to draft a TE with one of the two third rd picks, and find another in the later rounds that can play special teams. Keep O'shagnessy (SP), and maybe go after Jesse James in FA if we can move some of these big contracts out, (stated above).

Gibson can be replaced, Tyrann Mathieu is a FA, def and upgrade, Tre Boston is a FA, cheaper and an upgrade. Gibson hasn't even played remotely close to a probowl level since he has been here and plays like he is worried about getting hurt when tackling or hitting.

Parnell has allowed the most pressure of any linemen on our team, even though he has been the most reliable(in availability)/available until recently. He is average at best (not worth the 6M) and if he even wants to play as a back up, I recommend the league minimum and he won't do that.

I think ASJ "not doing much here" had a lot more to do with Bortles and Hackett than it did ASJ.

I liked Mathieu as a nickel instead of Hayden last year, so I'm not opposed. Timing was off on that one though.
Lots would have to fall in place to pull it off this time, but maybe it's do-able.

The Parnell thing - I'm not very invested in it either way.  I just want to make damn sure we aren't collecting scrap heap tackles in November next year a la that Flowers signing.
As long as they get their ducks in a row with 2019 versions of guys like Shatley and Wells  - along with a new RG and tackle to compete with Richardson, then I'm good.  It's a tall order though - they need two starters on the right side. Maybe they have one in Richardson - don't know yet.
And they need o-line depth across the board. Basically all the depth guys are at the end of their deals.

He was placed on IR. I think back in mid October with a knee injury to make room for Carlos Hyde when we traded for him. Just our luck though. Gain a runner. Lose a blocker.
