Jack being on the field for 69 of the 198  defensive snaps thus far wasn't very likely to change any outcomes.

All of us said he should've been getting snaps at OTTO LOTTO weeks ago.

 

This just proves that the Jags message board should coach this football team. I can see us all out there on the sideline with our headsets, JW would drive the refs insane and they'd never flag us - or else they'd have to talk to her. Jaguars would go on to beat the Patriots in the Super Bowl.

I think so, do just like Car. did with Kuechly.  It worked out pretty well for them.  They know that Poz was gonna play MLB so why not give him a role at a differ LB spot?  Teams do it all the time find different roles for players.  They guy is one of the best LB prospects to come out in years, I think he will be fine if you play him at one spot and then an injury happens and you have to move him.  He can handle it

I think if he had been our top 5 pick, draft position would have dictated he start immediately. The perception around here is that we got a top 5 draft pick in the 2nd round. Assuming that's true, they have established starters who he can sit behind until he is truly ready. He is still a rookie, so he might make a mistake that might ultimately cost us a game or two.

This is the package they should've been preparing him for since he set foot in Jacksonville. Ay Gus.

The only issue with putting him at OTTO is that against certain formations Skuta is essentially a weak side edge.


Could be remedied by most competent coaching staffs. I guarantee that if Jack plays the full game on Sunday or D will be visibly better.

How long was Telvin on the sidelines in his rookie year before he got the start?


I understand the impatience. We all want to see the new "toys" and talent. It's hard to wait for.


But, if Jack truly is going to be a talented, true leader of the defense, is it such a bad thing to let him get a strong understanding of many positions? Nope.


Poz won't be around forever. Jack is the apparent "leader in waiting". He most likely will be around and leading this defense for a long time. Let him learn. We'll get to see him on the field a lot soon enough.
