Should I still watch this team lose?

Thanks for Brunell article. He captured things really well. I wish it was just the coaches and front office. We have bad ownership. The owner is rewarded with a high value team just from the fact it is an NFL team. I don't know how he is going to stay put in Jacksonville. Is there any communication or anything around town to indicate they get what is going on? I appreciate his patience but this is crazy. How the hell do we need another complete rebuild with only one year of lucky post season play?
I'll keep watching because it is my team but man it is painful. Edit: And it is very obvious that David Caldwell is one heck of a top line scout but he is a terrible GM. He keeps rewarding himself with draft picks but really this team is going nowhere with him making the picks. Pairing him with Coughlin was a bad idea because of the need picking for dated planning he bought around.

A clown shoe huh? Yeah as really come to think of it, Caldwell in the picking picks really did not look at the true reason as it looked good but on paper. As really need to pick a GM who knows what he is doing.
Ready for May Day, May Flowers, and Memorial and Mother's Day!
Honestly what are the positives?
It is all a crude show. Front office doesn't retain talent, doesn't setup a coherent talent acquisition path leaving roster holes with no fix. Coaches don't have the talent they need to improve their winning odds. At the same time they don't develop prospects and cause regression. Young players show promise only to get worse the longer they are subjected to the coaches. Have we hit rock bottom?

Our situations on both sides of the ball aren’t the best and haven’t changed, and it’s continuing to fail the team. I take time every Sunday to watch the team and I’m almost constantly left disappointed. So it leaves me asking, “Why should I keep watching this season?” Or “why should I look forward to the next game?”. Personally I would buddy. If you quit watching then something you like will be missing. I took 2 years off after being a fan since 95 to watch a "LOCAL" team because the Jags seemed to make me totally upset after the AluAlu draft with Genius Smith. I came back few years ago and am going to stay because it is "in my blood", original Jaguars.com messageboard and Jagnation.com board. So yeah, things will happen, good and bad. High and low, this will still be YOUR team. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

I still watch the games, and I still yell at the TV, and I still feel great when they win, at least I did that one time they won. But I used to feel 3 days of misery when they lost, and now it's down to about 5 minutes before I get over it. I've also stopped worrying about whether the franchise is going to move. If I am a microcosm of the fan base, then they have lost the fan base. When they've moved to London, or St Louis, or wherever, I'll probably still be a fan, sort of like when I was a Cowboy fan way back when. I'll watch them, and I'll probably hope they'll win. Khan may or may not be trying to move, but regardless, he's forcing the team to move by losing the fan base. Unless things turn around pretty quickly, this franchise will no longer be viable in Jacksonville. Whether he has been intentionally trying to kill the fan base or not, he is about 95% of the way to completely killing it.
Thanks all for the replies. I somewhat have found courage to watch some more games but who’s to say it won’t be a circus show? I’ll always be a jag fan, but it’s been very hard to watch... You’ve all been been encouraging with your discouragement.
I feel bad for the browns…

London is logistically impossible and St. Louis lost the Rams because of waning interest. From an attendance viewpoint, it’s another Jacksonville.

This is a results-oriented business. There are no trophies or titles given for "moral victories" or for "winning the draft". Our record with DC is 37-86. 6-10 is our 2nd best season in 8 years of Caldwell leadership. These are the FACTS.

Playoffs for the Jaguars = NFL Draft 2021
If we land the Number 1 overall pick, Jaguars will have a great promising future. If Jags dont land Number 1 pick, it's gonna be a bad sign for us

The ngakue situation was the straw that broke the camels back.
Now I’m mad that I couldnt go to any games in 2017. That season had 10 years worth of quality wins.

It may be hard to believe, but they look even worse than the Jaguars. Also, look at the Jets' schedule. They have ten games games left. Below are the records of those teams: 5-0 4-1 4-1 4-1 4-2 3-2 3-3 2-3 2-3 1-4 Keep in mind that the 3-3 team is Miami who the Jets played today and lost by a score of 24-0. The Jets play only three games against teams with losing records. Also keep in mind that that the 1-4 team is the Chargers who I think are much better than their record. They've played a fairly hard schedule and lost two games in overtime and the other two games by one TD or less. Are the Jets going to sweep the Patriots? I know stuff happens in the NFL, but it's hard enough to see them winning one, not to mention two games. BTW, does anyone know if we are tied with Jets in records, who would get the first pick? Isn't it based upon strength of schedule? Who does that favor?

The difference is they have been decimated by injuries. Maybe worse than anyone in the League. If they get a few guys back, they have a better shot at winning 2 than we do winning one. Tell me who we are beating? This was our most winnable game remaining.

But you need to keep in mind all the great NFL QBs who were not the #1 pick, and all the #1 picks who turned out to not be great NFL QBs. Also, think of all the teams who have had the #1 pick in the last 20 years, and I don't think any of them won a Super Bowl. And most of them still suck. What we need more than anything else is a new GM and a new coaching staff. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
One thing is for certain, if Khan hopes to retain the STO that are left, he better do something soon.
From what I’m reading and hearing on the radio this morning, almost unanimously the fans and sports pundits are calling for a clean sweep of the F.O. That’s easy enough for us fans to say but it really does seem to make sense. 2017’s influence can only carry so far. (10-19-2020, 06:41 AM)homebiscuit Wrote: One thing is for certain, if Khan hopes to retain the STO that are left, he better do something soon. The writing is certainly on the wall - it's time for a house cleaning from GM down to the players. In the short term, fire Marrone and some of his buffoons - and let Gruden act as the interim, then proceed with a clean slate in the off season. In my opinion, we have to start fresh with a new GM and let him bring his own head coach. Then hope to anything and everything that we are in position to select Trevor Lawrence or Justin Fields with our first 1st round draft pick - especially with how stacked we are with draft capital.
At this point, it's beneficial for this team to take it's lumps, and lose as much as possible. I never thought I would see the day where I want that for my team, but it needs to be done. The franchise needs a clean rebuild, from top to bottom.
