Still, it was not like he was terrible the first 4 games of the season. The team as a whole was young and struggling. Minshew is the ONLY jags QB to win a game the past 2 seasons, despite the revolving door.

So? why start Minshew now? I doubt we win with him and even if we do what good will 1 or 2 more wins do?? Minshew had his opportunity and didn't take advantage of it. You are not gonna give 2-3 years to a 6th rounder that plays like Minshew played this season. You are also not gonna pass on drafting a QB for him.

What should happen imo is we keep Minshew and let him compete with the rookie, if Minshew wins let him play, if not he will be the backup. I wouldn't like the rookie to start right away anyway.

He wasn't playing terribly statistically, but he was not looking like anything close to a franchise QB. Remember all of the wiiiide open Chark and Cole deep balls that he badly missed on. Remember that we nicknamed him parachute for a game day thread because his deep balls were taking so long to float back down. Remember the plethora replays where we saw WRs running open all over the place yet he holds the ball for a sack. Remember that they completely took mid/deep outs out of the playbook because Minshew doesn't have the arm to hit those cover 2 beaters.
