yeah I really don't see why people think Fields will be a bust. could he be? sure. its really hard to pick an NFL QB. However, I would think the odds are equally as strong he turns out to be a very good QB, based on the data we have to go on.

The only reason that I’m okay with taking Fields is because

1. It’s looking like the Jets have Trevor on lock.

2. Justin Fields seems like the kind of guy that will be upset that he goes no.2 overall. This means he will most likely develop a chip on his shoulder. The best QBs in the game are the same. Fields has dealt with more adversity in his career than Lawrence, and this would only add fuel to the fire. I’m all for Fields. Definitely think in terms of measurable Lawrence is the clear cut no.1 pick, but measurables aren’t everything.

Yeah I mean... the Saints decided to start a 30 year old swiss army knife at QB instead of Winston. A guy who up to that point I think threw 20 NFL passes total or something with 0 passing TDs.
Winston isn't good.

Exactly. Any team that puts their hopes in Winston is setting themselves up for major disappointment.
