There's a difference between wanting to tank an entire season and just shutting off the lights for the last couple of games for a rare opportunity at a brighter future (takes long pull from whiskey bottle to drown the naked shame).

It's far from ideal... none of us want to be there either. It's just a necessary step to capitalize on something special next year (cap room, GM and coaching staff replacements, etc.).

I was iffy on tanking, especially with how bad the Jets were, but now that the Jets lost and the Jags are staring down the number 1 overall pick, I'm having flashbacks to beating the Colts to allow them to draft Luck first overall, and I just can't fight it anymore...
