Irrelevant Outrage of the Day: Skittles vs The Homeless

#41

Quote:And again you leftists miss the bulk of the problem. The killing they might do in the name of religion is a real concern; just because people are killed in other ways and by others doesn't mean we should add more murderers. But that's only the tip of the iceberg.

The real problem is that the refugees are not coming here because they want to be American citizens, they are coming here because they believe we owe them. They want to keep their own culture, their own laws, their misogyny, their homophobia. These are beliefs the left strongly opposes, but apparently only if they can claim that white Republicans are that. Well here's a secret you won't read on your left wing radical websites, even the most misogynistic and homophobic white Republicans are pro-gay and pro-women compared to the beliefs of mainstream Islam.

Dude, lighten up. We'll have to agree to disagree about whether we should all be frightened. If you want to be scared of terrorism, be scared. I'm not. It's not something that I worry about.

I don't see it as fear.  I see it as a willingness to face the realities of the world we live in today.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

That's fair enough, but we will have to agree to disagree about that as well.

Quote:Honestly, is there anybody that disagrees with what Don Jr. said? If you do, lets meet up and test out his statement and see how lucky you are.
Skittles are Skittles. Who gives a crap what happens to the rest in the bowl when you toss it aside?

People are people. Hopefully you give a crap about the rest of them.

But yes, this is another stupid, manufactured controversy by a media that sees Hillary's campaign showing off its self-inflicted gunshot wounds to the feet, based upon yet another unthinkably stupid comment by Trump. Does anyone else get the impression that this election will be decided not by voters, but by the myriad of lawsuits that will start being filed by both parties before the final votes are in?

Quote:Ha ha. I don't know why everyone is so afraid all the time. Everyone seems positive they are going to die in a terrorist attack. I think it's sad that people live a life where they are in such fear of things that are A) rare to begin with and B] less likely to occur than any number of other things.

It's funny because whenever I travel around the world people always tell me I should be worried something bad is going to happen. If I lived my life in fear, I wouldn't travel anywhere or experience anything. I certainly wouldn't be willing to help the less fortunate. I think people's fear gets in their way.
Terrorism has increased by 6500% since the "war on terror" started... Author says it's more like the "war of terror". So, ya, it's not exactly all hype.

<a class="bbc_url" href='http://theantimedia.org/the-war-on-terror-has-created-6500-more-terrorism/'>http://theantimedia.org/the-war-on-terror-has-created-6500-more-terrorism/</a>

Main thing to realize is that 74% of those occur in the Arab world. However, naturally, people fear that attacks will be more likely to occur the more of their people you relocate here.

Apparently you didn't bother to read what I wrote. I said terrorism is just a small part of it.

So hating more Arabs will make the terrorism problem go away?  You realize that's not how one fixes a problem like this.  The war on terror caused them to hate us even more.  So killing more of them, banning the refugees that we CREATED isn't really fixing the problem.  I mean, this is common sense stuff....  It's not hard to figure out.

You beat terrorism with out reach.  Not isolationism and hatred.  Duh.

How about we just stop killing them and leave them in the middle-east? Take the bases out or relocate to Israel. No more funneling weapons to rebels, no more democracy enforcement, no more nation building, no more arms deals, no more aid money. We just leave them alone?

As for existing refugees and current times, why can't we just build a safe zone over there until the strife ends? I read somewhere that the cost of bringing one refugee to the US and giving him welfare/housing/etc is equal to helping twelve over there. We do still care about budget management, right?
