Odrick: The Meltdown

Quote:I'm sure the no-calls from Green Bay with the same officiating group contributed to the outburst directed at the refs. Not the same group, same head ref. - different group. Still - it was the backwards call that set him off. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:I'm sure the no-calls from Green Bay with the same officiating group contributed to the outburst directed at the refs. This was my exact thinking, on other forums I've been told to stop making excuses, but to me it's been pretty blatant at the amount of no calls aND bad calls we've had. I understand the majority have been legitimate but there have been too many. And the referee wouldn't look at him, none of them would. If you were in his shoes and that same schmuck called bad penalty after bad penalty and you were long that bad, youd freak out too. Now id love it of him and bortles took up vocal leadership roles and took this team over. We need someone other than gus to do that, apparently

IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS
Quote:Still a common denominator there True. The third down offsides penalty comes to mind when Rivers is jerking and flinching in the hard count (which according to rules should be ruled a false start) and the refs meet for 5 minutes and decide the Jags were offsides.

It was the culmination of a bunch of crap calls. There's a reason they never showed a replay.
You either die as a good poster, or live long enough to become the troll.
At least there was some animation on the sideline. You'd probably have to go back to Mike Mularkey's headset throw since I've seen any kind of emotion on the sideline. No doubt about it though but someone has to do something before the losses just pile up to the point of no return.
No pain, no gain.
I can read lips kinda well, he was talking
Passionately about how bad the team was performing and how he's so tired of it. And about the refs. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:Didn't Mike P get into it with JDR?Yep, and JDR flexed his coaching muscle and benched him unfortunately. Quote:He had a right to be mad honestly. Now, I know that the game was getting out of hand, but even in the 1st half, the replays they did show of calls against us. Multiple times the commentators asked each other if either one of them saw something. Multiple times they were pretty speechless about seeing anything. Oh wait... I don't ever want to see the same zebra "officiating" another game of ours again… But that won't happen. That's enough mistakes to alter the course of 4 full games.</span>
I loved Odrick's outburst. It's about damn time someone blew up. They know they are better than what happened today... players didn't play well today, and the coaching staff definitely didn't do their part.

It'll be the same thing this week, but I'm curious as to how many missed/blown calls our front office will send in for this game. Again, it wont make a difference and the NFL couldn't give a crap regardless. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
I enjoyed it. I was happy to see some frustration and fire on the sideline. This team needs it. I can't do it this year though. 12 wins. 38 losses. That's enough for me. A change must be made if this team is winless after our game in London. If we come home and lay an egg like this to Baltimore I'll refuse to watch another game this season until Gus Bradley is fired.
If we're going to lose this year. At least give Olson or Marrone a chance to audition early. I'm watching this Vikings team right now find a way to keep the Packers slightly in check. And they're doing it with Peterson now out of the game and with Bradford as their starting quarterback who just arrived maybe three weeks ago to play for them. A good coach makes it happen. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? I, who was born in a naked land and bred in the open sky. The subtle tongue, the sophist guile, they fail when the broadswords sing; Rush in and die, dogs - I was a man before I was a king."
That's 2 weeks in a row the refs called this neutral zone nonsense. The defenders are ALLOWED to move. If they jump into the neutral zone they can get back before the ball is snapped. But if an OL 3 yards away stands up, the refs say the defender made them flinch. It's pure play-acting by the offense and the refs call it anyway.
