Not only that, the first corporations in the US were cities. The founding fathers saw corporations as small republics, to be regulated by the citizens. You think that happens today? People need to stick up for themselves, and that doesn't happen if think the government can't play a role in restricting bad actors. I think my solution does that and puts natural caps on greed. If it's progressive anything, t's progressive Ayn Randyism.
