Secondly, when has Khan ever made a decision by consulting public opinion?  He doesn't need to do that.  He owns the team and he has numerous current opportunities to move to another city and make much more money if the fans don't support the team here.  So he doesn't need to consult Jaguar fans in order to make decisions.  That's why it's absurd to think that your opinion matters when it comes to him making any decision.

The past few postgame press conferences, Urban Meyer has given conflicting accounts about why his best player was glued to the bench during pivotal moments in multiple games. When confronted with these inconsistent statements, Meyer often says "good question" and defers to position coaches while insisting he is not a micromanager. Given his much publicized off-the-field indiscretions and now his admitted laissez faire approach to coaching, should Jaguars fans be concerned?

A friend of mine texted me a picture of the flip card from the press box on Sunday. The card had to be extended to accommodate the outrageous number of Jaguars assistant coaches and staff members listed at the bottom of the card. There were twice as many as the Rams listed, and the Rams are certainly not a bare-bones operation. The Jaguars have become comical. They have so many coaches the head coach doesn't even know why his best player isn't in the game. Shad Khan must repair this mess when the season is over.

I'd wager it's a consideration, and at times maybe more than that. 

I saw a poll recently on twitter that made it clear that jags fans are very unhappy with meyer.

Khan: well, it started with your complete and utter failure to evaluate the roster that you inherited properly. 
Then, granted a partnership with Trent Baalke to control personnel decisions of the team, you failed to upgrade any position on the roster except kick returner and rotational DT. Other position groups regressed. Things really starting to get shaky when you didn’t understand that a rookie quarterback would benefit greatly from a run game - you know - with that 1000 yard rusher you had lingering on the bench for the first two weeks of the season. But instead, you asked a rookie quarterback to fling the ball all over the field with a wide array of low completion percentage passes and we’ve watched the kid struggle week after week while you have no answer to help him. You were given a very rare opportunity to Utilize an abundance of cap Space and a wealth of capital. In the modern era of NFL football, we have seen general managers  & head coaches in similar situations reverse the course of a struggling franchise in a short period of time. Not only were you unable to do this, you seem to have made this roster less competitive while implementing offensive game plans week after week that have analysts all over the country shaking their heads in dismay. I’ve searched for a glimmer of hope in your body of work thus far that would make me consider retaining you and allowing you an opportunity to redeem yourself. I have found no such glimmer. we have no control over roster decisions either, so we should be apathetic about JRob being benched, too?
we have no control over Urbz's responses to or the questions from the media, so we should take it in stride when he drops another ASCII shrug when talking about the direction of his team?
we have no control over hiring and firings, so we should not care if Urban hires inept assistants and staff that are going to alienate his players?

Guess what? Chris Doyle was gone within a day due to public outcry over his hiring. Shad stressed public image after the Cayman Nebraska video went viral and fans and media were ranking the shiny new coach over the coals. Urbz has already told the media that he is going to be more hands-on with roster and depth decisions in the wake of JRob's situation (TBD whether that holds true). The media have their finger on the pulse of the fanbases of teams on which they report; if fans are asking the questions, they're going to be asking them, too. Shad's not going to want to look like a bonehead, whether it's in the eye of the lowly Duval fanbase or the talking heads in Bristol, CT.

I think you underestimate the impact of a vocal dissenting public, scientific sample or not.

The answers of Oesher are very telling.
The answer about the impact of the Robinson situation being "big" speaks for itself.

This could be tied to Dilla's recent screenshot and posts which show It wont just be a locker room only issue (he even posted a text he got from an NFL player on the situation).
