Florida Heat!

Quote:I'm thinking you're alone on this one!!

I challenge you to read the gold bond reviews on Amazon. I'm by far not the only one. Actually I think that is where I read about it and finally decided to go buy some. I started off on the gold bottle and then now I'm on the heavy stuff.

Quote:Green has menthol in it. Makes it feel like an arctic breeze is freezing your stuff off. Ok, so not that bad. But if you put it on after a shower while you're already damp it does kinda hurt. But the affects while working in the heat are amazing. Stay cool and dry all day.

If you guys try it, you sure wouldn't be knocking it.
Saying that applying the green bottle when the boys are a little wet does kinda hurt is about the same as saying sticking them in a meat grinder is a bit uncomfortable.  The stuff works, but if you don't apply it properly, that meat grinder might look like a good alternative.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Typically I always apply when dry. But I had an outdoor event to go to and after my shower I figured ah, of course, gold bond will keep me comfy. Ouch! that's when I realized I HAD to apply when dry. The back of the bottle says to use after a shower and workouts. Clearly they haven't done that themselves. I'm actually surprised they don't recommend to apply when dry.

Sounds like a challenge, lol

Since I'm an innie and not an outie, I'm not putting menthol anything anywhere near that general vicinity!!

Speaking of Amazon reviews...has anyone ever read the reviews on there for the Haribo Sugar free gummy bears?? If you haven't, you should!!

So does it start burning when you get a little overheated and start to sweat?

Quote:But it's a dry heat!

There really is a difference. I was working in a warehouse and loading trucks when it was that hot out there. I was pretty much always dry and it's noticeably cooler in the shade. Here I break a sweat before I get to my vehicle. But still, 104 is stinking hot.

Ha, I agree for the most part. I do my heat way better than I do your heat.

When it gets to 108-110 on occasion though? I do my best to pack it in for the day.

Yeah, I wouldn't suggest women use it.

Haven't read the reviews for those. I'll check it out. I have read the Q&A section for a million dollar tv (may have been 100,000, pretty sure it was a mil) I left still wondering wether it was a typo on amazons part or not. I probably spent half an hour reading the Q&A. I was laughing my butt off

I'm a little amazed at the intensity in which some people fixate on their equipment area when it comes to dealing with the heat.

Oddly, no. At least that has not been my experience. I guess since one would gradually sweat you get a gradual cooling sense vs an all around sense that creates the "burn" as if you applied it after toweling off. TBH, I don't even notice that I'm sweating when using it.

Just answering the questions my man. If anything, I'm actually surprised there aren't a bunch of people agreeing on it. I am a FIRM believer in that stuff.. Smile

I am not sure I intended pun on that or not

That is why I typically use baby powder, and save the medicated powder for my shoes.

Wet rags around the neck really helps during the hot days.

If it gets REALLY hot, I just have a few peasants follow me around fanning me with palm fronds.

Drink lots of beer and stare at the sun for about 10 minutes. Makes the game that much more exciting.

I used to just hold an umbrella to shade me but while holding that and my iced latte I kept dropping my pygmy giraffe onto sidewalks and such. After going through a few of those I made the switch to peasants.
