Agreed Jagfanatic.  Modest expectations for all of the young DEs from me.

Low-cost flyer, and would make Colts fans extra salty if he became a decent rusher. I was hoping we would take a look at him in free agency because of the 3-4 miscast. Doing it after the draft probably made his price even more reasonable. Not a big signing, but a bit more of emphasis on just how much fun this off-season has been. Dave spent some money, but we are very well set cap-wise for the future, and have a whole slew of good players and a few we can roll the dice on. Checking out the difference between starters now and 2014 here  makes me cringe. Geno Hayes hasn't played since we let him go. At least we got one good year out of Clemons. I'll take Odrick over Bryant. Our best player back then, Marks, won't even be technically a starter. Ball wasn't terrible, but don't even get me started on LaRoy Reynolds or Winston Guy. Seriously, some of depth guys at other positions like safety are probably better than who we had as starters then. Last year I was hoping we might hit .500. Barring catastrophic injury issues, just going 8-8 this year would be a disappointment.

That was almost as bad as MJD putting Lights Out on Lights Out Merriman.

It's not entirely his fault.

He has a bad football name.

How many guys named Bjorn have been good NFL players.

It's really more of a tennis name then an NFL football name.

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

As I think about it, Fred Taylor on Mike Doss and Bo Orlando were great truckings, too.

As everyone is saying, no real downside. can be used as a situational 4-3 guy. Looked lost a lot of the time as the colts switched to 3-4. Either way our other seminoles on the team will be happy and maybe he has a shot to rush the passer. Never put this guy in any type of coverage EVER!

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

The pass rush is still unproven & one of the few question marks the team has to say the least so it doesn't hurt to exercise all options in that area.

I didn't recall those so i went to look them up and ended up on Freddy T highlight vid and enjoyed watching every minute of it even though those weren't on there lol... so thanks for that little trip down memory lane bullseye, even if it wasnt intentional... now i kinda miss the days of Fred... as a FSU fan, he is one of those UF players i didnt want to like but ended up loving more than anyone on the team lol

While Woerner and Hughes did not play on the Colts at the same time, there was some brief schematic overlap.  Pagano's first year was Hughes' last year, and his next year was Woerner's first.

Maybe Pagano made the same mistakes with Woerner he did with Hughes, and Woerner has more to offer than it seems.

Hughes is a better athlete than Werner and from what Indy fans are saying, Werner didn't have the technique to overcome his lackluster athleticism.
