My own speculation is this.  Different knowledge is perceived sometimes as "advanced knowledge".  So called "advanced knowledge" is nothing more that knowledge not acquired or achieved.  In simple terms, it basically means that something that so-called "smart" people don't know is considered "advanced" because they didn't know it.

 

Those of you that partake, put that in your pipe, smoke it and think about it.

I've also wondered why "Aliens" would have to be smarter than us along with the whole "what we need to survive may not be what they need". So put me in for that. I've also wondered if "aliens" we're actually spiritual beings. Don't want to go further due to COC. The universe is vast. Homebuscuit has posted already dealing just how big our solar system was. [( I watched the entire 45 minutes of it) not really]. But pretty awesome nonetheless. The options are limitless. I'm fairly religeos so I try to add that element to my thinking of the universe. Sucks we can't talk further in those regards.
