“Zero percent for the season?” O’Brien says incredulously.

“The pressure reduces in long yardage. Anything over 12 yards is 0%. On third-and-medium, it’s 70%,” Godsey says. “And they have changed completely from our first game as far as their philosophy on this down.”

Uh, no.

It's about situational play calls.

If the last game of the season your opponent knows you blitz 0% of the time in this situation... that isn't the scheme, it's the playcalling.

Say what you want about maybe Bradley should have nudged his buddy over and took over the play calling.

But it isn't the scheme.

Sure it is. Bradley's defense has been solved unless you have a field full of Pro Bowlers to run it. All you have to do is compare the results of the teams running it to see it.

The scheme still worked pretty well for Seattle last year.

And early on in the season people were all over Quinn's jock... talking about how we got the wrong one from Seattle...

I've seen enough thanks. Seattle has the players for the scheme, Atlanta and Jax don't, they aren't easy to find, and Bradley can't develop them. He and his scheme don't make average players better. It's that simple.

Seems more of an indictment on Babich's play calling to me, but whatever. Gus has to at least share some blame there.

I'm cautiously optimistic we see less predictability from Wash. His comments thus far seem to indicate as much.
