Sometimes I'm convinced it's an elaborate troll job.  But, SHEEEESSH!!  That's some major commitment.

I can't imagine how anyone would get anything out of all of that wasted time and energy, but then again, I do overestimate humans way too often.

Quote:uh, no. lol. Jack is far superior in coverage to Miller. Miller has the same speed and range but their coverage skills are night and day. Miller was not that great in coverage coming out of college. What makes Miller special is his ability to run full speed while his body is nearly level with the ground. Consistently. On top of that he is extremely strong for his size. Fowler has neither of these traits. You take away Khalil Mack's elite bend, explosiveness, experience in coverage, and disciplined play against the run and add 10 pounds and you have Fowler.

The Patriots had the second ranked defense in the league.

Oh, ok. I didn't realize that, and will add them to the list which strengthens the point of "defense still wins".

Playoff teams with very tough defenses:

Broncos

Panthers

Chiefs

Seahawks

Bengals

Cardinals

Vikings

Patriots

Texans (although in the AFCS,, their defense was very good, and propelled them to the division title)

Defense is what ultimately wins in this league.

I dunno.  You could certainly make a case for investing in the offense too.  When you find a franchise QB you need to protect him.  This could be the next great NFL offense with a little more investment in the OL and maybe a short yardage RB.

I hope they recognize the need to protect and nourish the offensive talent we have.

We've invested in the offense. You ultimately need both. But the point is an elite defense will always trump an elite offense. Offense wins regular season games. Defense wins championships. You rarely see teams with mediocre defenses in the SB for a reason. The stronger your defense the further you advance in the playoffs. Same cannot be said of a high powered offense.

Hoping that we already found our short yardage back with Jonas Gray

Dante Fowler Jr while a good player he won't nearly be the player Von Miller is ! Hopefully Fowler can at least be a 10 sack guy I'm hoping. We need way more pieces on the d-line, right now there's only DFJ to build around. I wouldn't mind getting Bosa to play opposite of DFJ.

I think Bosa is the best overall DE in this class. But I think Spence is the best Pass Rusher. I'd be happy with either.

After watching the Super Bowl, I realized that we desperately need Dante Fowler to be a beast of a pass rusher to have a chance.

So either she's a troll, or she's what she appears to be. In one case, people constantly responding to her the way they do makes them idiots. In the other, people constantly responding to her the way they do makes them [BLEEP].

The solution in either case is to stop stalking her and filling up every thread she posts in with dozens of nasty posts about her.

I don't understand why you think he can do it alone.

Quote:I can't wait to see Dante Fowler play for us. I hope he can provide the pass rush that is so greatly needed to be an ELITE TEAM. I know he can't do it all alone, but I have faith in DC to add the right pieces to the puzzle this off-season.

If you seriously think he can do it alone, you're only kidding yourself.

For all the talk of the great Denver pass rush (and it was very very good) you have to wonder what the result might have been if the Panthers had one or two quality receivers or an OLine as good as the one the Cowboys have...
