Quote:And both have left the building... Meh..didn't care for neither. Wouldn't have minded poe on a 1 year deal but no biggie
Jonathan Allen should be the pick. Even Daniel Jeremiah is mocking him to the Jaguars.

Or one who you thought would be great turned out to be bad.
Umm, that I have felt very convicted about...not a whole lot comes to mind. I was a big fan of Dion Jordan, but I wouldn't have if we knew just how bad his substance and work ethic problems were.

Im thinking Murray was a smokescreen. Everyone is linking Fournette to Jacksonville and maybe Coughlin is trying to get that off the news outlets and calm the talk. It could be a good tactic to throw other teams off as to what we will do in the draft. Also, in my opinion, paying more money for a Runningback when you can draft one at in a loaded class for much cheaper and younger option is a much better scenario. Poe on the other hand Im just not sure he would want to come to Jacksonville unless the money is there. I know hes looking for a 1 year prove it type of deal similar to what Bechum got, but he can probably do that with a team that better suits his style as a 34 nose tackle or a contender. Atlanta makes a ton of sense for him. We have some good players on the defensive line and some solid depth, I think if we need another NT to back up Abry Jones, we can find one later in the draft.

Jaguars need a player like Garrett, which we are not going to get. I would totally understand picking Allen, but im more on the RB bus. Theres two players in Fournette and Cook that have really good potential and both could make day 1 impacts. Quote:Im thinking Murray was a smokescreen. I enjoy looking at everyone's opinions on who would be the best choice. In reality, nobody bats 1000 with their predictions, even the "experts" who do it for a living. Personally, I was very unhappy with the Jaguars when they drafted Fred Taylor over Takeo Spikes. Although Spikes turned out well, Freddy T. is arguably the greatest Jaguar ever. Only time will tell whether Fournette, Allen, Thomas or a total sleeper will turn out to be the best pro.
Quote:Marrone will get his QB this draft! I believe Watson is looking like the pick! You won't get much support here with this idea. But me? I can see it happening. And may the best man between Watson and Bortles win. I still think Blake starts this coming year. But with Watson behind him he had better kick some azz or he's as good as gone We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:Bad athlete and bad injuries, yikes. Nope... not buying it. For an DT, his athleticism is fine, and his arthritis won't really be an issue for him until after he retires. In fact, you're saying this makes me want him more. I remember when we got John Henderson and how much I wanted him to be the pick. Despite my urging that we need to pick Henderson... much like I'm now urging us to pick Allen... there were those saying that Henderson had a chronic back condition that will ruin his career, and others saying how he did poorly on the Wonderlic. Some were actually calling him, "Stupid, broken back," but Coughlin picked him anyways and Big John turned out ok. So will Allen.

I'm not sure we really need Garrett, but if you're right, we're in position to trade up for him. Looking at the draft value charts, the Jaguars would only have to fork over their 2nd round pick and next year's first round pick to move up to #1.

Quote:Jonathan Allen should be the pick. Even Daniel Jeremiah is mocking him to the Jaguars.I can't agree. Not with those arthritic shoulders. The shoulders were definitely an issue with only 20 reps on the bench press Quote:BUT 64 touchdowns!!!!! Can't ever replace that!! You mean 69 Td? Lol ... I care about replacing the wins... which is a putrid 11.. Teddy,Winston,Prescott,Hoyer,Carr,Rg3, even Osweiler all have more wins or then Bortles... And these are QB that played less games... I don't mess with major shoulder injuries, especially not with elite picks. |
