According to @PFF, Olivier Vernon finishes '15 with 3rd most total pressures (79) and 2nd most run stops (35) of all DEs (3-4 and 4-3).

The guy is super young and his arrow is pointing up. He was drafted as a project and is really starting to show up. Also, he is a Florida boy and has mentioned that he likes being in Florida so we have a leg up there.

 

If he hits the market, he should be our number 1 priority, no doubt about it.

I could be wrong but I think the CBA that was signed in 2011 stated you could roll over cap space from the previous year but by 2016 each team must spend a minimum of 89% of their cap and the league total must be 95%. It is not out of the realm of possibility for this team to spend close to 80 million this offseason with the additional cap cuts and savings.

The Jags are expected to lead the league with an enormous amount of cap space according to the current guesstimates. Whoever our capologist is deserves a raise.
