I must admit that the offensive line's utter ineptitude when it comes to run blocking is far more of an indictment than the Jaguars finishing as the league's worst team in sack's allowed.

Exactly right. The jags inability to establish the run led to the Defense constantly teeing off on all of Bortles passing attempts. Replacing Beadles and Wiz with people that can actually move a line forward would help immensely, and I'm sure our running backs wouldn't complain about this.

 

Joekel is next to go, but no way he doesn't get a chance to start another year so it's time to put someone decent next to him and see if that helps him. Beadles should have been replaced last offseason, and Wiz was a failed attempt at finding a center. Starting Bowanko over Wiz would have at least given us a better push in the run game. That guy is just weak sauce.

 

The jags have never had an offensive line this weak before. They are pushed around way to easy.

I don't think they can make dramatic improvements in a year, but I'll be grabbing a pitchfork if they don't acquire talent for the center and both tackle spots over the next 2 offseasons. None of those guys are the long term answer, including Parnell imo.

There's nothing wrong with the GM.  Caldwell is doing a good job.

 

If he can't figure out Joeckel is bad by just the eye test, Caldwell has some issues. He made a few good draft picks but his ego is holding him back from saying Joeckel SUCKS.
