You might have to work a more hands on approach.

Don't make me get some sooner than later.  I'm trying to watch the cash flow.

I have tested it with my gym workouts. I can push more weight and have more endurance without stretching before I lift than I can when i stretch before.

Are we still talking about Aleve?

Oh wait... foot insoles.

I tried getting on the treadmill, but I felt practically whooped after 5 minutes. 15 minutes three to four times a day seems a bit lofty, but I'll see how much I can do today. Meanwhile, I keep trying to be more active in general, at times standing when I watch the tube instead of sitting just to see how long I can. I've been able to get near 20 minutes standing, so I know I just need to get that to 12 hours.

I even saw a Yoga program, but oh my... there's just no way. They need a Yoga for fat people.

I'm wondering about this too. I still have to find out how much they're actually offering with a slight fear I might have to turn down the whole thing if it's not enough. But if should be. If not, I'm in dire straights as my unemployment runs out in early February. I feel I need to appear as energetic and ready to go at the orientation, although I hope when I do start that I can be honest with my boss without jeopardizing the job.

I've been 6-1 forever, although that's an interesting story. My family swore I look taller, so at my last hospital visit several months ago I had them measure me... they told me I'm about a 1/4" over 6-0. Somehow I shrunk.

My weight is a different story. Keep in mind that I'm big boned and naturally can carry more weight. If I'm under 300 lbs I look svelte in 2x shirts and I feel as healthy as can be, but I tend to maintain around 360 on the job wearing 4x shirts. Since being unemployed I've ballooned. My 4x shirts are getting tight on me and I've managed to exceed 400 lbs.

Keep in mind that I've been unemploted at home mostly in front of a computer or TV for a solid five months now, and suddenly I have to start doing 12-hour shifts on my feet with an aching back being totally out-of-shape.

Quote:Interesting. I've never seen a foam roller like that, but I might just look into getting one.
We have one of those and it does wonders for my sciatic nerve issues. It hurts like a mother initially but is worth it in the long run.

I don't see how being 6-1/4 and under 300 lb can be considered svelte................. I'm 6-0 and 205 and not svelte at all, actually needing to drop 20 lbs.

Obviously your weight is the first issue to solve your back issues. Good luck.

Oh yeah... at say 290 I put a 2X shirt on and I'm looking good.

Svelte in my book doesn't mean skin-and-bones sickly. ...I wouldn't want my woman that way and my woman wouldn't want me that way.
