Yep, I learn a lot when I watch football. Sometimes it is hard because I can't see all 22 players at the same time on TV, but I probably know more than other people think.

Let's get a defense first

House has been playing some really good ball as of late but we all know what Julio Jones is able to do just on his own. I think we without a doubt have to let House shadow and give him constant safety help to shut down Julio otherwise Julio could have a career day against a Gratz/Marshall combo.

 

I think House has suprised many with his talent, but I don't think House is an elite corner in the NFL which is what you would need if going man to man all game against Jones.   I hope I am proven wrong should HC Gus Bradley / DC Babich do that this week, but so far nothing in the last 3 years with the HC/DC has proven to work against stoping the pass when playing against great passing teams.  

 

When I look at the depth chart and think what would I do, I guess I would be forced to put house on jones with safety help as the DBs are thin.

You are right about Davon House - good, not great. He is one of our best free agency additions this season. But it is not fair to blame coaches for having a bad defense when we are lacking talent and experience at many positions.

He played against better defenses in the last 6 games. Our defense sucks.

Actually, 3 of their losses are against defenses that allow more yards than we do (SF, NO, IND)


Points wise, the lost to NO who allows more than us.
