I'd say it's 80% coaching, 20% Myers. When you repeatedly let guys get open in the middle of the field for long first downs against a QB that won't throw outside the numbers that's a coaching problem. Myers is more on Caldwell, but still, if we had a 6-6 PAT performance the team wouldn't have had to go for it at their own 15 on 4th down.

I don't think those were his exact words, but he was asked after Bullock and Hocker came in to try out if he'd called Scobee, and he said that he'd never considered it.

I've always said 'cut Myers' is an unproductive thing to say. The right question is this: "Who can we get in who's an improvement over Myers?"


The front office should be devoting this week to answering that question, and it's becoming easier to answer by the game.

I agree... but my current sentiment where the young Myers is concerned is that there just has to be some little college out there that has a kicker who is probably more reliable than Jason Myers!
