The education dept is bankrupt, the athletic program is not. They're two separate things

Stuff like this REALLY makes you wonder how Mark Richt keeps his job.
What in the Wide Wide World of Sports is agoin' on here???

You don't fire him unless you already have someone in the works. Rumor around LSU is that Jimbob has been the guy since the week of the Bama debacle. He supposedly contacted them. We will see. I think Jimbob will be announced HC either Sunday or Monday.

I'll pee my pants with laughter if jimbo leaves FSU.

Hahaha It's not the worst thing I've ever said.

On a serious note, who do you think are possible jimbo replacements?

I honestly have no idea. I want to see if he leaves first before even thinking about potential replacements. I have no clue what direction FSU would go in.

I don't want Jimbo to leave FSU either as a UF fan. I think he's an idiot and is Gene Chizik 2.0. Deep down I think FSU fans know that, and they're not really afraid of losing him, but more afraid of why he would be in a hurry to leave. I wonder what's going on behind the curtains in clown town.

It would be okay though, he would still get to play Florida every year.

I disagree.

1. Everything Jimbo has said and done shows he is not in a hurry to leave. He has stated over the last week he loves where he's at and wants to stay. He has recently signed an extension through the year 2022. I can assure you a high majority of FSU fans want one of the winningest head coaches in college football history to stay.

2. There is no real comparison between Jimbo and Chizik. If Chizik is indeed an idiot, I am sure it stems from his graduation from the University of Florida. Gene got himself fired. He resented that Gus got all the credit for the 2010 BCS Championship and put a leash on him and it backfired. Chizik had 1 great year in 2010. The other 3 years, Auburn stayed in the middle to the very back of the West. Chizik was 33-19 at Auburn. Not counting the championship season, he was 19-19, including 7-17 in SEC play. In fact the 2010 championship was the only season, out of both head coaching tenures, he ever had a winning conference record.

Jimbo is on a whole other level. 67-13 as a head coach. 1st place in his division 4 out of 6 years. 3 conference championships, 1 national title, 1 playoff appearance. His 5+ million contract puts him in the top-5 of highest paid college coaches. In October he was the winningest active head coach in the FBS, although the losses have him now at .825 just behind Urban Meyer. Fisher has FSU completely dominating its rivals. 4-1 against UF. A win at UF today would be the most conseutive wins in the Swamp by any college team in history. 6-0 against Miami. 4-2 against Clemson. 4-1 in bowl games. Most NFL draft picks by any coach in a 3-year span. Top-10 recruiting class every year.

There's a reason a school like LSU would be willing to spend over $20 million for him. Everything about that shows Jimbo is brilliant.
New signature because HIGH SCORE found the periodic table offensive. Pathetic LOL

Watching the espn highlights on lsu. Les is clearly done. I like the heck out of that guy and would be happy if he was my coach. I think lsu is making a huge mistake.

I don't see why Jimbo would leave currently. He's the man on that campus. He's got it made.
