Joeckel has allowed 1 sack this year

Quote:That may have something to do with it. But I've definitely seen a few times where he's been beaten off the edge....badly.Well... he was Dallas' backup, who shined on an all-star line when plugged in because of injury, iirc. He got paid as many FAs do. He isn't elite but he's the best RT we've had in awhile. I still think Beadles is the weakest link We show less advertisements to registered users. Quote:There's a great source of information. In the articles each sack was accompanied by video, so you could see for yourself whether or not you agreed with his assignment of blame. I thought his analysis was very accurate. "Why should I give information to you when all you want to do is find something wrong with it?" Quote:In the articles each sack was accompanied by video, so you could see for yourself whether or not you agreed with his assignment of blame. I thought his analysis was very accurate.Yeah... and when the poster (i dont remember which BCC guy it was, not the tool) wasn't quite sure who was at fault, he said so himself. So some of the Misc. ones could have been SOMEONEs fault... But sacks allowed is relative, based on where and when BB5 moves, etc.... Pressures, hits, sacks, combined total work is what should be looked at. And in that, Beadles allows a lot of pressure, gives up sacks, and is rather weak in the run game.... I think next year we'll see this group really take hold and gel. Assuming Wiz resigns. (if we don't go after Mack)
What's crazy to me, is that Monroe gets remembered as "above average" at the end of his tenure he was one of the better LT's in the league, but his first 2 (arguably 3) years were kinda rough. he got WHIPPED by Freeney in his 1st game and "welcome to the nfl" moments with Freeneys spin move. he was better the next year but still not great and after a 2nd offseason to get bigger and refine his technique he reached his potential.
What goes overlooked with Joeckel is that he played RT from the time he was drafted in May through week 5, he only logged about a quarter of play at LT before having his ankle stepped on and being out for the year. The next year he spent the season rehabbing his injury instead of refining his technique or bulking up, it really didn't help that our Oline coach was diagnosed with Cancer and he had an assistant position coach to teach him technique all year. This is the first year he's been on the field with an actual Oline coach to help him improve his trade and this upcoming offseason he'll actually be able to focus on getting bigger physically rather than back to where he was pre rehab as well as refine his craft. I suspect we'll see a different Joeckel next year than we have previously. People don't realize that his growth was stunted by a lottttt of things and that his celing is still relatively high. Couple the above paragraph with him having to play next to Zane Beadles (as opposed to Linder or Cann who can actually Road Grade in the run game) and obviously you're going to be better at running Right. Next year should be better as Cann or Linder will be at the LG spot which can only help sure up Joeckels play since Beadles has been our weakest link by far. The arrow's pointing up, just wait. (also hopefully we sign Mack in the offseason since i don't see a scenario where he doesn't take his opt-out from Cleveland; and considering Wisniewski is on a 1 year deal it just kinda seems too perfect yk ?)
Championship Formula:
1) Draft Trevor Lawrence! 2) Play good physical Defense! 3) Keep 91% of the roster healthy! 4) ??? 5) Blank #2 6) CHAMPIONSHIP!!! We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Parnell has a lot of work to do in the pass protection department, but his run blocking is the more necessary attribute to his fame. Right tackle, after all.

Sure would be nice to see Joeckel make a vast improvement and at least become a solid LT that can pass protecr and run block. Beadles is a goner, there's no doubt there. Depending on how Cann finishes the season, I would think Cann would be the one to move to LG... but it would be nice to have that problem where Cann and Linder could be another Williams/Naeole duo for us.

Joeckel just got thrown around like a rag-doll. My 7 year old plays with more leverage than little Lukey-poo.
What a joke.
Omg, Joeckel got abused last night. It was tough to watch. The guy is as week as a 85 year old women.

If you take a seriously look back over the Jaguars history before the constant losing began (as in 2010 and earlier), several seasons were lost largely due to lack of depth at OT. This often is a season killer for good teams. I'd love to see the Jaguars land a legit starting LT knowing that we still have Joekel behind him for depth. That would truly put the Jaguars a step up on many teams in terms of depth at one of the most critical positions in the game. Having a starting-caliber backup OT on the roster is a very good thing to have. It literally can save seasons allowing teams to get over the hump although most teams simply don't have this luxury. The same can be said of having a starting-caliber backup QB, which comes to mind knowing how much we all flinched when we saw Henne warming up the other day.
