Let me educate you......Allen Robinson is #8 in NFL in yards and #125 in YAC. If you have 707 yards and only 91 YAC.....it shows you Bortles is making these players.


If A-Rob was truly special like aj green, Dez, or Antonio brown....he would be top 20-30 in YAC. He's not.

Hurns isn't a guy you're gonna get YAC from, he isn't the fast and or have the running style or strength to break a bunch of tackles. Where he excels at is his route running and getting open. Bortles isn't running those routes for him. You are starting to seem really clueless.

Is YAC some all encompassing stat to you? What about route running, clean breaks, catching the ball? Those don't count? It's not all Bortles, sorry, you're just flat wrong.

It's obvious what's going on. Bortles has better stats than Peyton and cam and his defense is 10-13 points per game worse per game despite the SAME number of turnovers thus his team won't make the playoffs. Sadly, it's above your comprehension.

I really like Bortles. I'm glad the Jags finally found a QB that will be a mainstay. He's really good at times now,, but he still has alot of improvement to make also.


He's gotta learn to check his aggressiveness at times and understand the situations he's in.


He's gotta be more accurate at times too. Sometimes he's dead accurate,, other times it can be pretty bad.


Where's the audibles at? He's still learning there.


The INT at critical times.


He's still got alot of work to do. But, he's already good. He'll be VERY goodwith time.

He throws a nice deep ball, and that's something we haven't had in Jax since Brunell.  And when you throw the ball deep, you're gonna throw INTs.  It's not excusable.  But it's fixable.

 

Face it, before Bortles, this offense would go three and out, constantly.  Bortles creates long drives. He's doing the right now, at 23 years old, playing in his 22nd game.

 

Yes, yes, yes, he's got a lot of work to do in the offseason. He needs more experience, and the game probably does need to slow down for him a little bit.  But it's hard not to be excited for the future. I'll go on record as stating that the Jags now have their future QB.

Don't know how that Walters td wasn't intercepted. He needs to chill out with all the turnovers because as good as you think he is this team will never do nothing with your qb costing you 3 turnovers in a game and pick 6's. Great QB's trust their receivers and great receivers bail out there QB's quite often. Just look at history. Not saying either is great but the ceiling for Bortles, Hurns and Robinson has he more excited then anything.

I agree, this young team needs a coach that is going to hold them accountable on a consistent basis. I saw a picture of Julius Thomas on instagram the other day and the guy is carrying at least 20% body fat, that's unheard of for an NFL skill position player not named Eddie Lacy. Why was he allowed to get so fat?
I think this is a direct correlation to the atmosphere Gus has created in the locker room.
