I thought Bortles redeemed himself.

I don't think Favre ever grew up. He was always a gun slinger.

I think BB was like two different people today, he was either brilliant, or awful.

Today was a great atmosphere inside the stadium, let's hope that W can kick start the season and make the finish stats look more respectable in terms of W's.

That second quarter though.. Right?!

A wins a win. Though the legendary status if cardiac cats still reigns supreme.

Quote:Bortles just for a moment owns the league leading touchdown mark. Even for a moment just let that sink in.
Waiting for someone to do an "Inside the numbers" with this team after this win.

And that is the thing. He is only halfway through his second year. He has been pretty good overall this year. Guys like Yeldon, Robinson and Hurns should only get better along with him. The offense has some nice pieces in place.

Bortles' pocket presence is amazing.  How many times has he escaped a free rusher this season?  He's really been good at keeping his eyes downfield as he creates space for himself.  We've got our QB.  For that matter, we have a good (possibly great) set of starting WRs and a top RB in Yeldon.

I believe this one is the rare Albino Thundercat. It does not make appearences very often on this MB.

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

BB could be very special, with more experience and the right guidance.

Imagine if Belichick got a hold of him like he wanted.

Quote:He didnt even have 200 yards, and he threw another pick 6 late in the game. I don't see how this was a better game.
Game winning drive by a young qb, against a good defense? Sorry about your fantasy team.

This offense is so close to perennial top 10 offense year in year out

What's funny is that if you asked everyone before the season began if they would take Bortles being in the top 10 statistically, you bet your butt everyone would take that in a heartbeat.

A second year QB, with other young weapons and a makeshift offensive line, hell yes top 10 sounds great!

The future is still bright.

George O'Leary once said about Blake Bortles "he's got a little cowboy in him"........he's a gunslinger. He's a playmaker. He's always gonna have INTs. That's what gunslingers do. He's gonna have lots of TDs, yards, and big plays in his career. He's already a top 10 fantasy QB at age 23.

I'll take a gunslinger ALL DAY over Teddy "check down" or Russell Wilson. In the long run, you'll agree with me.

What PFF had said prior to the game

Bills (-4) at Jaguars
This game is ‘at’ the Jaguars for scheduling purposes, but it will be live streamed from London Sunday morning. A change in venue won’t be enough to fix what ails the Jaguars, however. Even though Blake Bortles is lightyears ahead of last season and grading as an average passer, the defense is still Swiss cheese. They currently own the worst team coverage grade in the NFL, and their run defense isn’t far behind at 26th. Even with E.J. Manuel starting, who graded out at -1.0 a week ago, I think Buffalo moves the ball handily against the Jags.

Prediction: Bills 30, Jaguars 21

Quote:I think we all knew if given a late chance Bortles could get a drive but the wry is if we have to rely on the kicker to end it..... Took it into his own hands and left no doubt

He didn't.  He threw a decent ball.  Clearly better catch.  The NFL isn't talkin' Bortles, they talkin' them good young receivers.

Success is a journey, not a destination.  Go all out Mighty Jaguars.

So the fact that he avoided the pressure, rolled away to the open part of the field, and kept his cool to throw the TD pass was Hurns?  Hmmmmm...kay.
