I think this is also an indicia that on some level, they have to be okay with the idea of drafting one of those positions at 4.

Huh? Norman was established as Carolina's lockdown corner for at least 2 years prior to being shipped out. In 2014 and 2015 he combined for 30 PD and 6 interceptions. He was far from a "one year wonder."

To be fair, while Bouye had limited snaps before last year the ones he did have were graded very well too.

He may be cheaper than those two - but he won't be a bargain by any stretch either coming off of four picks and a pro-bowl alt vote.

Yes, they could match. It might be a tough choice with them tagging Bell and giving Brown the biggest WR contract in history though.

The tinhorns' play-by-play guy was talking to Frangie today on the radio and mentioned that fans there are concerned about the Jags signing Bouye away and adding him to a divisional defense that is clearly ascending. 

 

Would be nice to short them and round out our secondary in one swoop. 

 

That's interesting, because as we have learned, Coughlin has always liked the idea of signing free agents from other teams in the same division.   Sort of adding one to us, subtracting one from them at the same time.
