Jags trying to trade away Davon House.

Quote:Ivory and Yeldon suck! Yeldon especially. He was a waste of a draft pick. We might as well of skipped our turn when we selected him.Does Gurley suck? Sometimes the Oline is so bad that you don't actually know how good the RBs really are. I agree that Ivory and Yeldon did not play well last year but let's not act like they had big holes to run through. Cook and LF need lines to run behind in the NFL. Just like every other RB in the league. This draft is also ridiculously loaded at RB. Don't waste a top 5 pick on a RB when another gem will be there in the 3rd round. Quote:Ivory and Yeldon suck! Yeldon especially. He was a waste of a draft pick. We might as well of skipped our turn when we selected him. This is so not true and unfair to Yeldon. For starters, Ivory can be a fine starter in a good scheme that emphasizes the run, and we didn't have that last year. Granted he needs to stay healthy and stop fumbling, but he can get the job done absent some new RB. That doesn't mean we won't go RB, but he can start in this league. As for Yeldon, I'm not giving him the nod as a starter, but he's not that bad at all off the bench. I'm often seeing him come in cold and immediately picking up up yards where I didn't even think he'd be able to get any. He consistently picks up at least a few key yards even in tighter situations. Talk like this makes it seem as though he's Storm Johnson, but he's so much better than Storm it's not even close to funny. As a backup RB on the roster, I'm plenty fine with Yeldon and feel he may develop into something quite a bit more down the road. I wish people would stop saying that Yeldon "sucks" because that's just not true.

Quote:Yeah hes gonna get so much money from some other team that isnt a disaster when his rookie deal is up. If I didn't know you better I'd think you were trolling. There's no reason for the Jaguars to let Ramsey go somewhere else.

While Yeldon has looked trash this year. Lest we forget he would have had 1,000 yards in 2015 if he didn't miss the last 4 games.
I don't think he's starter material but can be solid. Not what you want to see from a 2nd round back but its not like he is totally worthless. We show less advertisements to registered users. I doubt it.. the players they letting go wasn't well liked, or good at that! Quote:Ivory and Yeldon suck! Yeldon especially. He was a waste of a draft pick. Whatevs, ya'll gonna blast out that historical revision posting such that we let go 5 HOFers this year against the express wishes of anyone on this board who knows anything about football. “An empty vessel makes the loudest sound, so they that have the least wit are the greatest babblers.”. - Plato
Quote:$6 mil is not that bad of a deal for House at all. I realize he's merely a backup on our roster who might start somewhere else, but I'd hate to see us just cut him outright.,Yea would much rather get something for him, if not just keep him, we might strike out on FA CBs so hold on to him until after the draft

Quote:Does Gurley suck? Are you seriously trying to compare Ivory and Yeldon to Gurley? Next, you'll be comparing Blake Bortles to Tom Brady. Yes, we need to fix the O-Line, that is obvious. I'm a huge advocate for signing Kevin Zeitler in free agency and moving Cann back to LG, which is more natural for him. I'd also love to draft Taylor Moton for RT. With that said though, let's not be delusional and pretend Ivory and Yeldon are great RB's. Ivory had one really good year in New York, but he still lacks burst. At his best, he was a "4 yards and a cloud of dust" type runner. Since then, has gotten older he suffered a mysterious illness from which he doesn't even look like the same guy. As far as Yeldon, he was garbage when we drafted him and he has proven to be garbage for the Jaguars. We need a premier runner. In my opinion that has to be someone who runs with power and breakaway speed. Those types of RB's are few and far between. In this draft that means getting a guy like Fournette, Foreman and Perine. I would be happy with any one of those guys, but if we draft another one dimensional runner like Ivory or Yeldon, that would just be a waste.

Running back is a big need right now with this team and I dont think Ivory and Yeldon can carry the load. Ivory will get another chance, but im not sure what his role will be. Yeldon has been a major bust for the Jaguars. Team had high hopes for him, Caldwell spoke very highly of him, they thought his production in college where it is a NFL talent pool would translate into the NFL. Simply hasn't worked out and thats okay. I dont see a scenario where hes anything more than a body on this team this season. A lot of people are upset some of the bigger names got franchised, but thats okay,, it happens. Defensive end clearly is a big need and I think people are just penciling it in at 4 right now. Im not sure that is set and stone. Under Coughlin, he puts a major emphasis on running the ball and protecting the QB. We are most likely going to miss out on the best pass rusher in the draft and we dont know exactly know what the other teams have in mind. All of the top 3 teams in the draft have a need at QB, maybe we get lucky and some of the other players fall to us at 4. But if Garret and Allen are gone, runninback needs to be seriously considered. I think its one of the biggest needs on the team and it will really help the passing game if we can run the football. Fournette has been my guy in the draft and even if Allen is there at 4, it needs to be considered and I do think Fournette is a major player for the Jags at 4. We definitely need a DE, but we have lucked out in FA and we probably are going to miss out on the top pass rusher in the draft. We will address both positions no doubt, but I think running back is just as big of a need than DE. C'mon... House was relegated to like 4th or 5th CB....
everyone knows we're gonna cut him... why give up a draft pick for a CB that was 4th best CB on a bad Jaguars team lol
IF we sign Bouye my excitement might not be contained. Contrary to other sensationalist threads, I think our secondary is going to be super competitive this year.
