I think at this point Yeldon is ahead of Denard, but not as much as people believe. Denard has home-run ability and is a better pass catcher. Yeldon is stonger, quicker laterally, and has better instincts. Different guys that compliment each other very well.

Yeldon will have much more updside, and if we ever get a line, he will be explosive.

Gus and this coaching staff coached Bortles up to a franchise QB and they want him fired for Marrone.. the offensive line coach. Then they say Yeldon isn't doing well because the line sucks. The line that their future coach can't fix? There's no thought process behind these opinions. Just hive mind thinking.

Yeldon has 5 or 6 plays each game that shows he's gonna be a top 10 rb in this league. He was one heck of a good pick up.

Funny and a bit pointless but we could be 3-2 with DRob in the backfield. Last week after Yeldons big run to get us in FG range Gerhart came in as relief and ended up losing 5 yards making getting that first down hard. This week they put Grant in as relief and he ended up fumbling into the endzone. Robinson would have most likely been the relief guy in these situations and is better than either of those guys.

Well, we have Tyson Alualu at FB when we need it. You'd never know he was a DT with the way he moves on offense. TJ doesn't need a FB, he's usually making 3 or 4 guys miss at any given moment. Pretty soon he'll learn how to dodge 8 or 9! Haha - but when the line gets better at run blocking, he'll get the long runs for TD's.

I think Yeldon is a better running back now and will be. Robinson is also a good running back so it's not like I'm bummed that Yeldon happens to be better. We got them both. Yeldon looks like a fresh, 5-starts-in rookie with a lot of potential. But I've been impressed with his pass blocking and his decisive-ness. Definitely happy with the selection. Robinson and Yeldon sound a lot better than Gerhart and Grant to me.

Okay this needs to stop. Other than when he was old or injured when did Taylor or MJD average under 4 YPC? The answer is never. Yeldon is not a Fred Taylor, sure he stops and cuts, but he is nowhere near as good. He is an average at best back right now, and I don't think his ceiling is really anywhere near HOF level like Fred. I mean we have had some bad years for the running game, but that doesn't make Yeldon a stud. People need to stop overrating him.

Atleast we have two good RBS (when healthy) that we can argue who's better. If you combined the two, you'd have a premier RB.


Yeldon has some special skills with his ability to juke defenders out of their shoes, can pass block, and catch passes. Denard is a great zone runner. He excels at being patient and selecting the right hole. He always hits the hole full speed, and he was able to have a few good games last season. Yeldon lacks in what Denard excels at, and vice versa, because I think Yeldon has much more agile feet and hips, he will eventually develop into the workhorse.


Good problem to have. Just please stay healthy.
