Quote:Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding! This should be the biggest indictment on the current regime. Soooooo, the Jags have changed coaches, including OC, players, including QB, the GM and even the owner, yet they still average 15 points per game? What the heck can the problem be?? About the only thing they have not changed is the fans.
I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

We need a bit more time to allow for the change of mascot to take effect.
I don't see Bortles as the problem I see lack of consistent run blocking, pass catching, and no TE threat.

Say what you want about the disappointment in being 1-3, and I realize Bortles has had his struggles in the 2nd half, but he's gone from 2nd worst QBR in 2014 to firmly in the middle of the pack so far this season. For a 2nd year QB, I'll take that jump. We're seeing more big plays in the passing game and there are moments where the offence actually looks in sync. Does he need to finish drives better? Absolutely. Does he need to be more consistent in the 2nd half? For sure. But the improvement is evident and that's an important development going forward.

Coaching. That's your answer. We're coming out and slinging it and moving it around early and often and the defense is making better 2nd half adjustments than our offense is. Olson and Bradley need to anticipate this better and think ahead and start having a 2nd game plan for these 2nd halves.

Quote:Good point - there has to be a reason the team collapses in the 2nd half of every game.Must be that halftime pep talk. |
