Joeckel vs. Young

#41

Quote:Said by someone who has no response. He gives up pressure, he's not strong enough and his penalties occur on crucial 3rd downs. Continue to believe he's Joe Thomas. And Gratz is Revis while you're at it.
Please show where anyone has said he is Joe Thomas. Your only argument you have left is making things up. Pretty pathetic.

The only comparison he has to Joe Thomas is the same number of penalties. Chew on that one smart guy.

Are you for real? Wow. Like, seriously? Clearly, I was being facetious. If anyone could believe he's the next Joe Thomas they likely need a cat scan.

Getting kinda catty...Mrs..Joeckel? Don't get mad at me cause your boy is mediocre. Not sure why this angers you so deeply.

Joeckel is good enough to not waist a high draft pick on a LT. Competition at LT is needed but not at the expense of drafting defensive players. Defense is clearly the biggest need of this team.

Defense is a high priority now. There should be some decent mid-round guys.

This team needs play makers on Defense. Generally those guys are first round blue chip players. I would argue that this team needs high draft picks and mid-round guys on Defense.

Again making stuff up. Please point out where I said he was anything better than average.

Mrs. Joeckel? That's all you have left? Even more pathetic.

Clearly you've learned a new word in "pathetic" and have tried to take it for a spin. Good for you. Reading is nice.

But the real kicker here is if you truly believed that then what's even more pathetic? You replying to me. Congratulations. You fail again.

Watching you flail has taught me the true meaning of the word.

The only failure here has been you and your argument. LOL!

I'll let you keep them. You are the one who needs to learn a thing or two.

Because I don't think Joeckel is very good? Ok.

And seriously, out of curiosity can I see the link of where you got the stats on Joeckel being middle of the pack?

How about both guys aren't that good. No matter which one is in there, you can guarantee that they will get beat and will get a holding call. Even the Vet Parnell is playing up to what I thought he would.

I can't find individual stats among other tackles. Just line stats for the group. Care to share?

This fails to make Joeckel look any better. 3 of those 7 on Joeckel were on 3rd downs.

Wait..Fluker is a RG/RT? And Doug Free a RT? Moses a RT? Pears a RT! You can't compare Joeckel's penalties to some of those guys. Hell, the Fins' Jason Fox is a back-up! Joeckel is a starting LT and teams knowingly bring heavy pressure from the blind side where your LT should be built to handle it. If anything, this makes him look even worse.

Talk about pulling stuff out of the rear.

3 penalties on third down the entire season. The horror.

Because LTs face a bigger challenge they should get fewer penalties?

This makes absolutely no sense.

Good luck finding someone who will buy that [BAD WORD REMOVED].

I don't know about you but its concerning when my young LT is flagged as much as a backup RT when my LT should be built to handle more pressure. Hence why these LTs are given such fat contracts nowadays.

Joeckel has started 50% more games than that back up RT. He is getting penalized at a far less of a rate.

Are you really that dense?

No, I admit that was my mistake. I thought Jason Fox had been starting the whole season for Miami. However, I stand by my point that my LT should not give up as much pressure and be penalized as a RT. In todays league a lot of pressure is being brought from the blind side and LT's have to be reliable cornerstones of a franchise and hold their own. Not to say they can never be flagged but I do feel like the tape and stats show at the moment Joeckel is over his head and competition is warranted.
