Bradley will be done before Bortles. With a new coach typically comes a new QB. A new coach will have a QB brought in to compete. Besides it's not like Bortles doesn't have talent. He's just not ready to be a franchise QB yet.

The desperation from Caldwell to sign Henne a couple of years ago is making perfect sense. No one will ever call for him, he was insuring that Bortles at least would be unquestioned as the starter.

Decision making isn't even the most concerning thing for me, it's that he throws awful, inaccurate balls at least 30 percent of the time. He literally struggles to throw the ball at times, and that's not something you should have to worry about in professional football.

I mentioned in the blaine bortles thread that bortles over throws consistently. People made excuses saying he was throwing the ball away. Please! This guy is mediocre at best. I'm just waiting for him to throw another pick six and watch all the apologist make more excuses.

I haven't given up on Bortles - yet.  

 

You've got to look at everything - WR's are always injured (Lee), out because of drugs (Blackmon), his O-line is injured (Joke/Linder), his pass-catching TE is out (Thomas), and he's got a rookie RB and 2nd year starting WR's.  

 

Most importantly - he's got Gus Bradley as a head coach.  

 

Lots of reasons why Bortles hasn't reached his potential.
