Bill Bellichick Has Been Scouting The Jaguars Since The Offseason

Quote:I've been to New England many of times. Pretty, love the mountains, but damn you cannot beat the weather here. Lifestyl? Lol really? Awesome beaches, boating in great weather, marsh, river and 25 minutes from one of the coolest cities in the US (St. Aug). Believe me, we have nothing to be jealous of as far as lifestyle goes. Anyways, different strokes for different folks.

Gotta co-sign this after living in Vermont for 6 years. Winters absolutely blow if you don't like the cold or are really into winter sports (or digging yourself out of feet of snow).

I will say this, though, folks from Vermont, Maine and New Hampshire are awesome. No comment on folks from Mass and Connecticut. They have some rather amusing derogatory, nicknames for those folks up there.

Patriots secondary is bad and I expect an explosive offensive game from both teams. They can't cover ARob, Lee, AND Hurns. All three of those players can explode and shred the defense at any time. They don't have a defense like the Dolphins or Panthers - we'll be fine.

"The problem for Bortles is an offensive line that gave up at least 4 sacks in 8 straight weeks until they gave up none to Miami."

Holy yikes our oline has sucked. I hope they don't treat Bortles like they treated Tyrod Taylor last week...

I expect, unless Thomas suprises us and is able to play, that the Patriots will take away Robinson and make our other players beat them. Hurns and Lee will need to step up.

I still say Steve McNair is one of the best comparisons I've seen.

Why bother comparing? Just watch him play, that's who he is. The only reason he mentioned tyrod is because they just played buffalo and Bortles and tyrod both have mobility and athleticism on their side. It's not like he is saying their game is identical.

I hear you BigJag57!  I would say it almost like this;

  1. Please remain healthy after the game, too many injuries already.
  2. I want to be entertained, dont run the ball if the team is behind by 20 points simply to limit the embarasment try hard to remain in the game until the end.
  3. I dont want Jaguars coming into the game expecting to lose, if thats the case why play the game at all just forfeit & give it to the Patrtiots.  Any team can win any week anywhere, remeber that!
  4. Dont have plays simply to give a guy a shot, I would hate to see them force play/throws to Lewis or Harbor simply because they are one of only two teams not to have a TE catch, it should be natural.
  5. Trust thy instincts, go with your gut.  If they feel like its a deep pass it probably is.

Oh hush

Just because you feel you don't belong

Don't project that dross to the players

The mind of a professional athlete, unbelievably, is one that you can never start to fathom

They ARE NOT YOU, AND DO NOT THINK LIKE YOU

They also know aids in presentation, like spell checkers and such

Success is a journey, not a destination.  Go all out Mighty Jaguars.

Quote:You do realize Robert E. Lee lost the Civil War don't you?  I'm not sure he read General Sherman's mind as the Union Army was torching Atlanta.

Robert E. Lee never faced off against Sherman.  At Atlanta, Sherman was up against Johnston and then Hood.

Lee faced off against McClellan, Pope, Burnside, Hooker, Meade, and finally Grant.   Lee failed against Meade at Gettysburg because he didn't have his Cavalry and was therefore somewhat blind.   But in every other case, Lee won by anticipating his opponent's moves and countering them. He even did this against Grant, however, Grant was constantly reinforced and resupplied and Lee fought him with dwindling resources, and Grant was not afraid to grind away in a war of attrition.   Grant had the guts to move forward, even after a defeat.  Lee defeated him constantly, but Grant just kept coming forward with superior resources that Lee could not match.
