Bold Prediction: Bortles will not be our starting QB next year.

Why trade a 24 year old for who's had the best single season in Jaguars history after one bad year. This is his prove year. This is the year we find out who he is. Don't pick up his option, groom Allen, bring in competition, supplement him with a running back, give him protection with a line, have him with the same coach, and take away all of his excuses. Doesn't work out, then put him on the bench and and prepare for the draft. No one we bring in is going to be a long term option. Quote:Tom is a genius yes. Ok, so really you're acknowledging that comment was just something pulled out of thin air.

Quote:He's equal to Taylor, but throwing in A-Rob is just highway robbery.Nobody outside of Jacksonville actually thinks Bortles is equal to Taylor. What a joke. The writing is on the wall for ARob. He hates the Jaguars and the fans and wont resign here. Why not use him to upgrade the QB position? Lee is a more dynamic playmaker and we already paid Hurns. Teams can't afford to throw big money to 3 different WRs. Plus hes overrated. Rough him up and folds like a cheap tent and he starts whining. Soft. Quote:Based on what?Based on what? Nassib played for Marrone at Syracuse, and was drafted by the Giants under Coughlin. It's not much of a stretch, like, say, signing Romo or trading for McCarron. Any one of these situations could play out, although I think Romo is pretty much a definite not happening scenario. I don't think Coughlin would be remotely interested in bringing in a a guy who can't stay healthy behind the best line in the league. So, you can take him off your wish list. McCarron probably winds up staying in Cincy. Nassib is the most likely option. One of us has an educated guess, that's for sure. Once again, when I am wrong I have no problem admitting it. This is just the vacuum between your ears implying otherwise. I know this may confuse you, but unlike you, I don't require validation when I'm right. I know, it's a rarity for you, so maybe that's why you desperately seek approval from others when it happens. Maybe Pookie and Banjo can give you an attaboy on your "radio" show? Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Quote:Close ties with front office of Division rivals? Really? So, front offices are all tied together because they're in the same division? That's what you think? Coughlin doesn't have any more insight into Romo's health than any opposing coach or GM in our out of that division. The one who knows close to what ROMO knows about his health is the guy signing his checks, and the coach he plays for, and they're preparing to part ways. That tells you all you need to know about the viability of putting all of your eggs in the Romo basket, and completely explains why Houston has been linked to him as the next landing spot. They've got arguably the worst luck with QBs in the league despite investing tons of money into the position. This would wind up being more of the same. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Tyron Taylor will soon be available in free agency. No need to trade for him.
Quote:Doesn't McCarron seem like a TC guy to anyone else I'd think so. Unless he's got something against tattoos.

Quote:Nassib played for Marrone at Syracuse, and was drafted by the Giants under Coughlin. [...] Nassib is the most likely option. I actually like the Nassib idea, and would actually not mind Houston getting him to have a competition with Tom Savage, Brock Osweiler for the starting gig next year, understanding that his price tag wouldn't be crippling. Easy there FBT, I believe this is a Jaguars fan using a "Pot calling the Kettle black?" example. :whistling: Houston is at a spot where adding a legitimate QB could have them competing for the AFC Championship, assuming Romo could stay healthy in the playoffs.
