1010xl is saying Julius Thomas could miss time

Soft meaning injured easily

Pffttt!!! Only soft wimps need fingers to catch.

Still pretty crazy to think if he does have the surgery, he will miss a few games. Still never playing a full season in his career.

I think they will be fine. Having Thomas back will be a bonus after the first few games.

I don't see him being injured easily.  This sure as heck wasn't a soft tissue injury that might warrant that kind of tag if it happens repeatedly.  The guy broke his hand, and may require surgery to repair ligament damage.  That's hardly something that happens running in place.

As long as he's ready in January when we need him the most, I'm OK !!!

He's played one snap all preseason and our offense has looked great. It's a bummer, but I'm not super worried about it. Especially with Lee hopefully back. Speaking of, will he get some reps this week?

Everyone knows you have your fantasy draft the weekend BEFORE the Sunday opener. Not 2 weekends before... ONE!!!

Quote:Exactly.

If Blake Bortles is going to be as good as people expect him to be, who is catching passes will quickly become irrelevant. The great ones elevate the play of those around them.

Truth.

Thinking ahead here... If the Jaguars get off to a solid start (2-2) and then have Thomas come back, we could build a little momentum off that.

Of course we will survive.  Whether we win or lose we will survive.  It just sucks having your #1 free agent hurt for the first month.  We luckily have a lot of depth, but still sucks and it will impact us in the redzone.

Lets be honest here. Considering the Jaguars' history with "big name" free agents, was it any surprise that something like this would happen?

I'm not even mad. I've been conditioned to expect our "big name" free agents to either get injured or underperform since Aaron Kampman. It happens far, far too often and I never expected Julius Thomas to break the trend.

THERE IS A SKELETON INSIDE OF YOU.

RIGHT NOW. THIS IS NOT A JOKE.

Maybe it will.  Maybe it won't.  If Lewis continues to play with a little fire under him, we may be just fine in the red zone.

This is a huge blow. The team struggles in the red zone and Thomas was supposed to help with that

We may be just fine, but over 4 games it'll impact us.  Otherwise we wouldn't have paid him the money we did.  The world isn't ending, but sometimes when things suck you just say they suck.
