Actually I've been eying Ameer all preseason and have seen a few more examples of him leaving defenders in the dust with his speed. As this is TJ's first game action I had a hunch Ameer would look better. I do expect TJ to look much improved with more games under his belt and with better run blocking up front.

Obviously, we don't have enough "tape" on Yeldon in teal to really evaluate him yet, but I thought this was worth sharing.

That face shows it all.  He didn't think he had ball security or a TD.

Yeldon looked slow to me. I realize there wasn't much in the way of running room. However, even on that 12 yard gain, he looked slow. He is elusive though. I'm not making any judgments after just one meaningless preseason game. His lack of burst and speed worry me though.

To me Yeldon looked "ok", but didn't really do anything that would ramp him up the depth chart.  That being said, this is his first time being on the field in the NFL.  I'm looking at Robinson and Gerhart being the "feature backs" to start the season.  I do think that Yeldon should get some playing time in the final preseason game.

I'll admit, I wasn't really impressed with Robinson until last season when he finally started looking like a running back.
