Or not cool.

There are 10 kinds of people in this world.  Those who understand binary and those who don't.

I watched "The Little Giants" with my son a few days ago and when the chunky lineman asked the coach what his time was, Al Bundy said, "I don't know, I don't have a sun dial."  Hilarious.

TJ Welldone, amirite?!
Hey.... if you can come up with something that sticks... I won't hate on you for it.

Disclaimer: I don't call him Slowby.

Just find derogatory to be a little bit more slanderish than a silly nick name.

White Rhino... for example, could be found as MORE derogatory since it is inclusive upon color....

But I digress....

I think you're being a tad naive if you think those that call him that are 'being silly'.

I don't hold the fact that he got older (and slightly more mature) and thus his writing reflected much more family friendly comedy.

That's My Boy was pretty good...

But yeah.. Jack and Jill, Grown Ups.... far cry from Billy Madison lol

That's what happens when you start pushing out movies too quickly.

He should have done it at a medium pace.

Quote:He was hurt a good chunk of last year and he has run pretty darn hard this preseason.  I don't understand the hate for him.
That's an easy answer. When you have "uninformed or unknowledgeable" folks who have NEVER played the game at ANY level, then you will get comments that are based on an emotional attachment (or lack thereof) to the player in question. Translation: Most of those making these kinds of comments don't know jack about the game of football but they are great trollers on forums like this.

"Slowby" is nothing. Hell, it's not even inaccurate. Ever met a Jet fan? They will call their players every name in the book. Honestly, probably a good half on NFL fans are harshly critical of their team like that. I mean, they aren't getting a cut of their paycheck. They just want them to play well and represent their city.

Gerhart gets a ton of undeserved hate on this board.

1. FIsch set him up for failure.

A. Gerhart is a north and south runner.  Fisch kept him running east and west.

B. The offensive line was horrible last season. By the time they grew as a unit Gerhart was beat up.

C. Injury.  We really don't know how much the injury effected him last season.  Later in the season I remember him running over people

D. Results.  So far this preseason the power formation with gerhart, alualu, running behind Linder and Parnell cannot be stopped.  I can see a bootleg behind snuck out of this play as well.

^ I think people just wonder why you pay that much money to a running back who can only run North/South.

Like I said earlier in this thread. Allot of these comments are made by those who don't know jack about football....especially at the pro level. Your comments above are proof positive. A good coach plays to his players strengths. he doesn't put a round player into a square box and then say.....good luck with all that. That is what happened last year and add his injury to the mix..........and all of a sudden he's considered a complete bust by a fair amount of people who frequent these boards. What would you have them do....take him behind the cluhouse and shoot him for having the audacity to get hurt last season?
