Pure speculation.  That's not how Shad Khan does things.  We should all know that by now.

No.  We have all seen, Shad Khan is a methodical person.  The season will end.  Then he will start thinking about what he wants to do.  Then he might fire Doug and/or Baalke.  Then he will formulate a list of potential replacements.  Then he will start interviews.  At that point, we will all be melting down about the slowness of the process and screaming in all caps for him to HURRY UP FOR GOD'S SAKE!!!

Then he will do second interviews.  Then he'll think awhile.  At some point, he will finally hire someone.

That's the way it works.

The Clickbait Cowboys are offering all kinds of 'insider information' right now. Do they offer any proof of their speculation? And as mentioned before, without leaks from the Khan's inner circle, we just don't know.

No!  In less than one week Baalke and Doug will no longer be part of the Jaguars organization.

That is how it will go down!

Khan can't be too methodical. There are more vacancies than ideal candidates. If he doesn't land the best candidates quickly, we'll be left shopping from the discount bin.

Besides, do you really believe Khan will wait until the season ends before he starts thinking about what he wants to do? Come on...

I think it will be like the Urbz hire.  Khan knew who he wanted.

The only info you'll hear out of Duval is whatever Baalke is leaking at the moment to make Pederson the fall guy.

Well hopefully the rumors about Johnson coming here are true

Will Khan do it? His history has shown that he does not care about the fans opinions. He kept Dave Caldwell on forever, Gave Gus 4 years, Kept Baalke, I would not be shocked at all if one or two position coaches gets fired and they run back the exact same regime. I would not be happy with that but look at Khan's track record. The only quick firing he really done was Urban but that was not choice.

Firing Urbz was a choice and a decisive one.
No need to try and falsely define it as otherwise to suit your narrative.

My money is on Khan making a clean sweep.

When that video came out (the Hunt) and it showed Khan telling the coaches and players that this was the best roster they'd assembled thus far, that wasn't meant for fans.
That wasn't even him proclaiming we were a great roster.

That was him sending a message to Baalke, Pederson and everyone in that room that he expected wins now.
They failed and I think he'll hold them accountable and bring in a new GM and HC.

Allowing the HC to hand pick the GM is moronic. Ben Johnson for example NOBODY has any idea how he would be as a HC. It’s possible he could be like Kliff Kingsbury- a guy who’s a great OC but horrible HC. This actually happens all the time with coaches. Shoot, we all thought Nielsen would be great, look how that turned out. It happens all the time that great coordinators are better just being coordinators. The best plan would be to make sure you have a great GM in place then you hire best options at HC. Imagine we allowed Urban to pick a GM? It’s just a dumb [BLEEP] concept.

I'm sure that if he's actually committed to moving on ( and I think he is - fingers crossed)  he has a committee loosely put together to assist and a short list of candidates already worked up.

The amount of openings expected is certainly not lost on him.

Ideally, my preferred approach would be to get the GM first and let him pick the head coach.  However, if that's what it takes to get Ben Johnson here, I'm fine with it.  I trust him to select a good GM more than Khan.  My guess is that he selects Ray Agnew (assistant GM with the Lions).  He would probably be my first choice anyways.

I agree with you, but if you're cleaning house those decisions have to be made in a hurry. It really gives some credence to firing the current staff as early as you can (midseason) so all the ducks are in a row.

If I had to guess, if it’s Ben Johnson, he wants someone to come with him from Detroit and that’s fine by me.

Hopefully Khan attends candidate interviews wearing diamond encrusted dollar $ign bling. That should sweeten the pot for the Jags.
