I really wanted Biadasz when he came out.  I thought he was a 2nd round talent that fell to the 4th.  It's crazy how many players we have let fall in the draft right passed us when BPA met need.  Kittle is just another example.  When AJ Brown and Metcalf fell.  You could have picked either.  The list is just too long.  Our draft board has sucked for many years.

Henderson over Wirfs. 
Chaisson over Jefferson. 

Those two players alone on offense could have potentially made Minshew look a little bit better than an average QB that plays above the X's and O's sometimes. Would we have landed Lawrence the following year? Probably not. 

But, it's that close for a lot of teams in the NFL from being in the basement or on top of the mountain. It truly starts in the front office. It's just odd with Baalke. He seems to do well enough in targeting key additions via free agency but whiffs big time as a draft manager. 

They need to add another role in that building if they decide to keep him in 2024 moving forward. Said it in another thread. They entertained the idea of hiring Rick Spielman at one point. They should reconsider it again. If he's interested of course.

Yup, just to many to list that were no brainers.   Our bigbaord and scouting the last 20 years has been horrendous

I remember the change up but I can't recall seeing a noticeable difference overall. At one point I swear I saw Little in at LT with Robinson not out there. 

They're at least trying to mix things up personnel wise and series wise. Good to see. That one run that Bigsby had late in the game on 4th and 1? That was more of a power look. 

They had Strange and Farrell stacked to one side and that's exactly where Bigsby ran with the ball for the first down. I hope they keep mixing it up this Sunday like they did yesterday in Houston. 

That's the offense we have been looking for. Also, more D'Ernest Johnson, for sure. Keep getting him some looks. He's made a few nice chunk plays for us with very limited opportunities. I would like to see him get more repetitions in place to set-up a fun game with his former team with the Browns.

I can't find a snap count for Cleveland yesterday, but it didn't look to be a ton and there aren't any reported injuries from the game. It was 50/50. Give or take. Think it was 35 pass attempts and 33 rushing attempts. They didn't run the ball all that well.

Outside of a few with Etienne and some short yardage pick up's late with Bigsby. It was flat. Which was to be expected. The tacks are better geared towards stopping the run Vs. pass.

The biggest standouts were Ridley's end around run and Trevor's scrambles for TD's.

To clarify I'm not in the crowd that had given up on him.  I was the one that said pretty early on that I think his nickname is kind of a misnomer given what I'd seen on his college highlight reel.  His highlights and measurements lead me more to believe he's the same type of back ETN is, just not as talented or explosive.  So, I see him more as a spell back for ETN than necessarily bringing a different skill set to the table (which is still valuable).  Would love to see more short yardage pile movers with him if he continues to show capability there though.

The delayed shotgun handoff to ETN earlier in the game was a nice run too. I think it was the one that set us up with a 1st and goal before the first Ridley TD

Yeah. It was a nice and let's be honest, NEEDED change up. Good things happen when they let the kid use his legs and he has that mobility and freedom to buy time, extend, etc. 

I really want to see a Zay Jones deep shot this Sunday. Similar to the play he had last year against the Cowboys at home. Where Lawrence rolled right and the safety and/or corner was lost in coverage.

A big reason why Lawrence hit Johnson yesterday on that 4th down attempt for 30+ yards in the passing game was because the CB or S panicked and decided to come up to get Lawrence in the event he tucked it and ran with it. 

That was all set up because of the earlier attempts with him on the ground. Good [BLEEP] nonetheless. I fully expect to see more games out of him like yesterday. He could have had a 5th TD yesterday had Ridley or whomever it was before half stopped for that catch. 

That will come with him doing more of the running around stuff though with 7 weeks left.

Two weeks in a row though where they did that little pitch out to Etienne, kind of like a sweep play. Not sure if that's what you're talking about. But, those are good runs to have for Etienne. 

I still think he's hesitating too much in the backfield and allowing the defense to swarm to him rather than just put his foot down, drive and hit a hole and live with it. 

I also think they need to do a little bit more with him in the passing game. It's that time of the year now, where, Shotgun is fine, but, if Zay is going to be getting guys like Ridley open? Let's have a safety valve or two in place with going shotgun with split backfield looks. 

Would like to see a look out there with Etienne and Johnson. Maybe fake a screen to Etienne or something but give a delayed hand off to Johnson. We'll see. My brain is always churning and imagining plays, concepts. Yesterday was the best looks overall and execution overall on offense we have seen all year.

I saw that. One particular 3rd and short Trev lined up under center, handed off to ETN, who was met in the backfield immediately lol
