Iran Nuclear Deal

Quote:Yes, yes doomsday. That's obviously the case here. It can only be apocalypse in lieu of total capitulation from another nation. We have reasonable peace now. What you are getting will be certain war against a much more formidable enemy once you give them them bomb. You refuse to learn from history and doom your countrymen to death for your foolish notions. “An empty vessel makes the loudest sound, so they that have the least wit are the greatest babblers.”. - Plato

One of the many horrible deals done by the Obama Administration.
I really wish Americans would wake up and see how horrible this guy has been as President & ensure that people in his Administration aren't given more chances in the future to destroy this country by electing them into office. (example VP Biden, former Dept of State Hilary Clinton [aka soon to be Criminal], and others).
Quote:I call shenanigans. The pubs did not hold 40+ votes to repeal obamacare? They did not shut down the government? They are not threatening to do it again over PP? What the actual huh? Where are you getting this from? Apparently you didn't understand my statement. Of course the Pubs talk the talk. They even will take action if they know it won't matter. They only held votes to repeal Obamacare when they knew the Senate wouldn't pass it. They stopped that once they gained control of the Senate. Harry Reid was the one who 'shut down the government.' * The House sent him several bills that funded government and he refused to even let them be voted on in the Senate. I suppose you're going to claim the Pubs were responsible because they knew it wouldn't pass. I'd counter that Reid shut down government because he knew the Pubs would soon fold up like a cheap tent. Some Pubs are 'threatening' to defund PP. As usual, it is just pretend opposition. When push comes to shove they'll fold again. Even now Boehner is stating that it would be a mistake to defund PP because it wouldn't pass a filibuster. Funny how the Dems, now a minority in both houses, still get their way. It's almost as if the supposed opposition party was just a sham. Funny how that works, huh? *The scare quotes are because the government is never actually shut down. Only the 0.0001% of government that is deemed non-essential is shut down. OK, hyperbole, but none of the so-called entitlements stopped, and those alone are 45-66% of federal spending, depending on who you believe. The military, another large percentage of the budget, was still funded, and there were plenty of other parts of government deemed essential. Even the bureaucrats in the few non-essential jobs still got paid for the time they were shut down. No one was affected unless they had a trip to a national park during those two weeks. And the House passed a bill continuing the parks funding, but Reid didn't allow that to come up for a vote either. "Why should I give information to you when all you want to do is find something wrong with it?"

In addition how much money did the party of fiscal responsibility waste in empty gestures? Empty gestures the base eats up. It's ok to waste a ton of money and time that could have been spent actually legislating if they were not wasting time pandering? Nah you guys were perfectly fine with those 40+ attempts to the impossible. What's funny is if you do a google search for who was responsible for government shutdown. One result on the front page is for blaming dems. I am sure you would disagree. Most people disagree with you. Maybe the "opposition party" isn't living up to your expectations because even though you voted for them they don't really care about you? We show less advertisements to registered users. Something to think about. With the flood of "refugees" happening in the EU right now, could this deal have a part of that?
There are 10 kinds of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those who don't.

One of my favorite quotes is from a movie called EXCALIBUR, Merlin said, "It is the doom of man that they FORGET!"
Ultimately, the enforcement mechanism of any diplomatic accord is the willingness of either party to engage militarily if the other side violates it. This is where the logic of the left flips around in a big circle. Why did we go into Iraq? To enforce the terms of UN sanctions against Sadaam Hussein. Colin Powell admitted again this past sunday that all the guy had to do was comply with UN inspections and he would still be in power today. He gave the UN the finger. We proceeded to go on a year long tour of coalition building and making presentations to the UN. We received two UN resolutions authorizing the use of force for clear violations of international law. We enter Iraq, and take baghdad. What did this mean for the region? It meant that in a post 9-11 world the US was serious about limiting access of terrorist actors to weapons of mass destruction and when they said they were coming, they were coming. What happened as a result. Iran halted their nuclear programs, i believe quadafi suspended his. It also meant that we had a force of a hundred thousand strong in the region and we would build an ally over the next 5-10 years that would be an extension of our influence in the region. So what did Theran eventually decide? Iran made the policy decision to help undermine stability in the fledgling democracy in hopes that what was left of the country would come under their sphere of influence and oust the American footprint. So they funded and armed shia malitias and killed roughly about a thousand US soldiers. Couple that with the suni presence of Alqueda and other sects vying for power in a divided country and the state eventually destabalized. So what did the left do? The left screamed and cried like a schoolgirl who just got her pig tails pulled! You had the leader of the senate democrats declaring that the war was lost. You had Jack Murtha accusing our troops of raping women and children in the dead of night and you had the democrats essentially running against the war in the 2006 midterms. As a result, the republicans lost the house. In january of 2007 Nancy Pelosi was sworn in as the new speaker of the house and Iran RESTARTED THEIR NUCLEAR PROGRAM. Why did they restart their nuclear program? Because they knew that with a new democrat controlled house and the general sentiment of war fatigue in our country that there was no way we were going to engage in another ground war with an already stretched military. Since that time it has been abundantly clear that in reality this nation really no longer has an appetite for conflict. When the police decide to go home then that means that the bad actors can do whatever they want whenever they want and there is no one there to stop them. So now, 8 years later Iran is on the doorstep of becoming a nuclear power. What does the left decry? Diplomacy diplomacy! let's use the UN, lets get other parties involved, lets negotiate. What they seem to forget is that we can't negotiate with any real credibility because over the last 8 years we have demonstrated to the world that the new overriding foreign policy objective is peace at any price. If we were so quick to abandon our goals and objectives enforcing international accords against the Iraqis what makes anyone think that we would be in it for the long haul to spend another ten years fighting IRAN and probably SYRIA being funded and armed by the Russians? The final nail in the coffin was the red line with Syria. When we said no and they used chemical weapons anyway that let the world know that with this administration and the countries current leadership that words don't really mean anything. The reason this deal feels like surrender looks like surrender and tastes like surrender is because that's exactly what it is. The sad thing is that history has taught us with bitter tears that appeasement only makes the aggressor more aggressive. Now you have an Iran so emboldened that they directly threaten the lives and safety of the people we are outsourcing their inspection regime to and openly tell us that they are going to use the money that we release to them to kill our allies.
Quote:One of my favorite quotes is from a movie called EXCALIBUR, Merlin said, "It is the doom of man that they FORGET!"You know who can't negotiate with any real credibility based on the most current events? The United States because half of it's governing body actively works to sabotage negotiations. It looks like surrender to you. We show less advertisements to registered users. You refuse to learn from history and doom your countrymen to death for your foolish notions. Don't worry. Iran will have to import their uranium, which will allow the Europeans to keep a watchful eye on things. Oh, wait ... http://www.reuters.com/article/2015/09/1...=worldNews "Why should I give information to you when all you want to do is find something wrong with it?"
Go ahead guys. All five American prisoners released. Spin it. Tell us all about how this is just further proof that Iran is planning to destroy America.

Nope have to give Obama's Administration credit when due, there'es PLENTY to not like about Obama and his actions but this isn't one of them. Reducing their reactors, releasing our prisoners well done. I was skeptical and probably rightfully so but as of today this one's a check mark. Now the crazy idea of bringing in Syrian refuges and destabilizing the region by supporting Al-Qeada and parts of ISIS affiliated rebels to enforce regime change, that's a problem.

Some crazy man said the Iranians are hungry for change back in August of 2015.
I wonder what happened to that guy? Quote:
