Stay thirsty my friends.

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

About to drink a few cans of Damburger 12% beer. I'd say they will taste terrible

I'm what the old timers on this board call a "hipster" I guess. Total beer and liquor snob - hey, at least I'm aware of it.

Really into barrel aged imperial stouts right now. The Tampa Bay beer scene is insanely good. Breweries such as Angry Chair and Cycle have been putting out some amazing hazelnut stouts and porters - many of the bourbon barrel aged variety. Always been into west coast style IPAs and have gotten into sours. Angry Chair makes a Chardonnay barrel aged sour that is out of this world.

As for liquor - favorite drinks include the old fashioned and the dirty martini with my all time favorite being the negroni.

Flame away, fellas.

I drank enough yesterday to intoxicate the entire team of Budweiser Clydesdales.  I may have one beer later tonight.  Maybe.

Ah, who am I kidding?  Of course I'm gonna drink beer later.

Was in Napa, CA last night.  Had (as you'd expect) some really amazing wine - and some remarkable food.

Classic cocktail.

The spicier and drier the ginger beer the better.

Friend brought me a bottle of Crown that was bottled in 1982. Compared to what they are putting in the bottles today it is some kind of delicious. I guess all those years makes it so smooth? Sipped it on some ice cubes until a nice glow was achieved.

Oh yeah. While not every bottle of whiskey will age well, even the blended ones will usually improve over time and they certainly may have been bottling a better product at that time to begin with.

I'm home from California, but I brought my tequila habit back to the east coast.  Nothing fancy. Hornitos Reposado.

I made a new (to me anyway) cocktail with it last night.

2 oz. of tequila, 3 oz. Shweppes bitter lemon, 2 oz Pomegranate/Blood Orange Nectar (muddled fresh mint optional)

Serve over ice, or shake vigorously with ice and fresh mint then serve "up" in a chilled martini or margarita glass.
