Still has work to do as a pass rusher but I see improvement. Let's see how it goes. Inside stunts are enough to get him matched against guards.

Travon Walker: 2nd Year Thoughts Etc (merged)

I'm normally a very positive person, and I know a lot of "experts" say he's playing very well, but I'm not seeing it.

He seems to always be right around the ball, and just not quite finishing plays very often. Hopefully he can take another step in a year and then start translating that into some numbers/production

He's fine. Add another guy in the middle that can collapse the pocket more frequently and he'll stop getting double teamed so much.

Jags need Walker to take another step up down the stretch. He’s getting a little lost in the mix.

Maybe Josh Allen gave him some advice, “Save your strength until your contract year”

Jaguars are going have to overpay if they want to keep him happy, he isn't worth top money at his position but you have to overpay because you have no one else close to the talent on defense.

Another solid, dog [BLEEP] take here I see...

Number one... it's year two on a four year rookie deal at the minimum, with the option to extend him for a fifth by default.

So:

A. It's way too [BLEEP] early to be talking about keeping him happy in particular.
B. His production leading into year four (potentially year five) will ultimately dictate the terms of whether or not he's worth top money or not.

Here's your sign.

Bad take. Allen's been consistently good enough to land the 2nd all-time franchise mark in sacks, which speaks volumes on how deprived this franchise has been, and, that's with him I think missing some time not too long ago in year three maybe with me being too lazy to look it up.

Walker's right up there in pressures this year. What's hurting them is the lack of two competent interior rushers that enable Walker to shake off double teams and give Allen even more free lanes to get after the QB.

Stick to playing Madden. Leave the all 22 and football stuff to the big boys.

Here's your sign.

Non informed fans that just look at box scores with a beer in one hand and their phone or dick in their other pisses me off just as much.

Either know your [BLEEP] and speak to it, or, stop faking it until you make it around here, that [BLEEP] gets snuffed out quick.

Stick to your little fence riding and beer chugging with the boys down at the Mayport docks that just look at catchy headlines.

I haven't seen any metrics/stats. I haven't rewatched the game in any capacity.

But from my seat in the stadium, it sure seemed like Walker was pretty disruptive last night?
Anyone else have that impression?

I agree. He was getting his name called and was in pursuit often. Jackson is slippery and there were a few times I thought for sure he was gonna be brought down. Maybe not as much as we would of liked to see, but enough to show theres some improvement. Thats all I really need to see out of these last few games this season. Keep showing progression.

They were mentioning just that on TV. He looked like a beast. His best game as a pro in my opinion

I haven't re-watched the game either, but I had the same impression.  He seemed to be constantly disruptive.  Let's hope it is a breakout game for him.  I would love it if he could do that every week.
