Attorney General hands Trump an "L", says to DOJ....Don't defend the Muslim Ban.

You're going to scare the children by using the word alien.

YES, especially when DHS lawyers participated in preparing the executive order.

Quote:TRUMP'S MUSLIM BAN

Except it isn't Trump's list, it's Obama's and Congress' list.

It does not affect only Muslims, but all nationals from 7 countries. It affects less than 10% of Muslims in the world.

And it isn't a ban. It is a temporary stay of visas until a better vetting systems is developed.

So it's not Trump's, not Muslim, and not a ban.

Facts are for NERDS!!!

He promised to do something unconstitutional and did exactly that. Now he's rebranding it. You can't whitewash it and just call it just a campaign promise.

But that's exactly what you are trying to do.
You keep saying "unconstitutional"  please explain.

I doubt if we'll see anything really meaningful regarding the "unconstitutional" argument.  Everything done so far is very much constitutional... that's why liberals hate it so much.

Exactly.  At this point I am convinced that Trump could hack the DNC's playbook, adopt every plank on their platform, push it through and the MSM and Dems would be in the streets protesting every single action and wringing their hands in angst.

Obama didn't have special restrictions on individuals with valid green cards, visas, or those who had received proper vetting. Obama also didn't show preferential treatment toward Christians, which is unconstitutional.

Obama never framed his travel restrictions as a Muslim ban, which is what Trump campaigned for and stated numerous times.

Care to point out where President Trump's EO gives preferential treatment towards Christians?  Here is the actual text of the order from whitehouse.gov.

Here's a thought that liberals don't seem to get or understand.  What is more dangerous, a refugee escaping Communism by risking their life (Cubans) or a "refugee" coming from a terrorist breeding ground that doesn't have to risk their life to gain entry?

It's pretty much a FACT that Venezuelans would probably rather take their chances getting to the United States rather than stay in the Socialist hell that they are in now.

The bottom line is, the ideology of those on the left (communism, socialism) destroys nations and destroys people.

So preferential treatment to Christians is unconstitutional (it isn't but keep repeating the lie) but preferential treatment AGAINST Christians is OK? It seems to me that Trump is just evening things out.

The United States has accepted 10,801 Syrian refugees, of whom 56 are Christian. Not 56 percent; 56 total, out of 10,801. That is to say, one-half of 1 percent. The BBC says that 10 percent of all Syrians are Christian

From the executive order:

Quote:a) In furtherance of this policy, the Attorney General and the Secretary, in their discretion and to the extent consistent with law, shall ensure that jurisdictions that willfully refuse to comply with 8 U.S.C. 1373 (sanctuary jurisdictions) are not eligible to receive Federal grants, except as deemed necessary for law enforcement purposes by the Attorney General or the Secretary. The Secretary has the authority to designate, in his discretion and to the extent consistent with law, a jurisdiction as a sanctuary jurisdiction. The Attorney General shall take appropriate enforcement action against any entity that violates 8 U.S.C. 1373, or which has in effect a statute, policy, or practice that prevents or hinders the enforcement of Federal law.

However under the Constitution, state and local governments/jurisdictions have the right to refuse to help enforce federal law. The Supreme Court has ruled not once, but twice, that the Tenth Amendment forbids federal “commandeering” of state governments to help enforce federal law.

I think this is a very ignorant and blanketed statement JIB. You have no clue what some people from war torn countries have/had to sacrifice to escape or try to escape for a better opportunity.
