Am I allowed to hold on to the belief that a lot of times, my thoughts and opinions don't really matter all that much and probably don't add a lot of value so I'll just keep them to myself? Or does that mean I'm a "snowflake" or a "children" or a "deplorable" or some other derogatory term?

 

Also, as far as avatars go, gaining self-reliance on just about any level is something that we can all strive for. It's a good thing to feel a genuine sense of accomplishment for one's own actions. Yes, we all need help from time to time and it's good to ask for help when we reach confusion, but making situations such as this a learning opportunity can go a long way towards personal development.

For me the problem is lack of self restraint. I need help from others to restrain myself from posting weird crap. Self reliance to get my avatar back is a totally different animal. I could find it, but I could not resize it. I could ask JIB to help me resize it, but my computer is misbehaving. So here I am, needing help with both self restraint and self reliance.

I suspect that the problem is either your computer or your not understanding the process of creating an avatar.  The last resize that I sent you is 128 x 128.  That should be acceptable for an avatar photo.  I can resize it again if it doesn't work correctly, but you really need to let me know exactly what the problem is.  I can test it myself, but I'm too lazy to create a new account and I don't want to alter my photo.

 

As a side note.  You need to understand that people will post whatever they want or feel regardless of how it makes you feel.  You may not agree with it and it may make you "angry", but it's going to happen.  You just need to learn how to filter out those posts in your mind and not let it "get to you" to make you "mad".

 

Just try to explain exactly what the problem is to me, and I'll do my best to solve it for you.  You can do so here publicly, send me a PM or send me an email.  I would encourage you to do so here publicly so that if someone else has a problem, they'll also see the solution.

Your email attachment was not downloaded when I clicked on Download Now. All I have is the original image in My Pictures. That has never happened before. Apparently I need to resize it myself.

 

My problem with other posters is not the fact they have different opinions, but their posting styles and history of bullying me. If everybody would communicate the same way I do sod their posts would make sense, it would be much easier to respect the different POVs here. Instead they look like attempts to rile me up.
