At times he almost refused to blitz and relied purely on the defensive lineman to put pressure on the quarterback, even when the talent wasn't there.  Teams like the Giants and Seahawks of the past didn't need anyone to blitz to put pressure on the qb and were able to keep extra guys in coverage.

Stick with the Patriots and Falcons to avoid getting off topic. Both Tom Brady and Matt Ryan are traditional pocket passers who (compared to Aaron Rodgers) have limited mobility and get the ball out fast. If defenses don't blitz them, how can they put enough pressure on? What would be your game plan if you were New England's or Atlanta's DC?
