You got to wonder what Shad is thinking

Quote:Spending wildly in free agency hardly ever works out. For every Mike Peterson we signed, we signed guys like Jerry Porter, Hugh Douglas, Laurent Robinson, Aaron Ross, etc to nullify. The jaguars just need to develop their draft picks. Spending wildly in free agency isn't a good idea. Never works out for the redskins or raiders. As bad those players were, I would gladly take the 2008-2009 Jaguars team, over the 2013-2014 Jags team anyday. At least we won games on a short, but fairly consistent basis. The Jags right now are in their own league of mediocrity. I don't even remember the teams from 2000-2003 being this bad. The Jags right now are in their own league of mediocrity. I don't even remember the teams from 2000-2003 being this bad. I'd take neither. This fanbase has to stop embracing mediocrity. Stop looking back fondly on the mediocre Del Rio years just because they were slightly better than the crap we have now. If you are going to long for Jags days of the past at least target a successful time like the Coughlin regime.
"Cap trouble" is a myth. The Cowboys have supposedly been in "cap trouble" every year. Their team at its absolute worst in 'cap trouble' has been better than 75% of every Jaguar team ever.
Cap trouble is owner and GM speak for 'we are cheap'. Period.
Quote:I'd take neither. Why do you hate JDR so much? Even the slightest positive remark about him always sets you off.
Mediocre Del Rio with a legit QBS would have had us in the playoffs every year. It's not JUST the coach that was mediocre, we had terrible draft after terrible draft while our best players (stroud, hen, Fred, Mike p etc) were getting older.
Just give us an average GM and average coach with Bortles and you're looking at a team that's best in the history of our team besides a 3 year spell in the 90s

From what I have seen from the Jags and the coaching staff so far this season, I'm not sure what Shad is thinking can even be printed.
I survived the Gus Bradley Error.
