Why is everybody dogging Sexton. I actually liked the guy. He is the voice of the Jags. Frangie sounds strained and un-natural.

There's so many options with professional broadcasters, it's stupid. Frangie is turrible, that said Sexton kept a job for almost 2 decades sucking. Looks like we're stuck.

I have never understood all the hate for Sexton. I always liked him. Sure he touted the company line a bit too much, but he was paid by the Jaguars after all. He had emotion when he called the game, which I thought was great, and I never had a problem understanding what was going on if I couldn't watch the game and had to listen in. Frangie, meh, I listened to him last week and I was not impressed. He has no rapport with Boselli or Lageman and he almost seems bored most of the time

They should call up the guy that does the Seminoles play-by-play.  I think he's very good.

From what I understand, Frangie is rarely at the stadium unless there's a game there.  He doesn't attend practices or spend a whole lot of time with the team, and it shows.

Why not J.P. Shadrick?

 

I hardly ever listen to the radio broadcasts so I'm kind of indifferent but he seems like an obvious choice to me.  He certainly sounds more "voice of the Jaguars" than Frangie does.

I agree that Shadrick probably has a better play by play voice for the team, but that kind of change only happens if Shadrick is part of the 1010XL broadcast team.  Right now, he's an employee of the Jaguars.  The reason Frangie has the job is because 10101XL is paying him, and since he's one of the partners in the 7 Bridges company that owns the station, it seems unlikely any sort of change will come unless Shad demands it.  There's a 1 year out for the team regarding the official station designation, but I think that with the other programming changes the station has made to accommodate the Jaguars, they're probably happy with most of what has transpired.  If there's an opportunity to make a change next year, I'm sure they'll take full advantage.

This thread is funny just because of how many people ripped Sexton when he called games.  I get that now people will say they may both suck, but I want the lesser of two evils....I just dont think Sexton was ever that bad.

 

I never really thought of it, but Shadrick would be a great voice.  I feel like his call of a game would go really smoothly.
