One good drive isn't evidence a player is good or could lead a team. Bortles has just as many game winning drives yet you think he's garbage.

Again, I didnt say that single drive was evidence of how he would play for his entire career, youre the only one here implying that.


You said he folded in a must win situation. You said you came to this conclusion in your analysis using your eyes. Im merely pointing out that this is incorrect and that you either didnt watch the game or you have a very weird set of eyes.

I didnt say that one drive made him worth it. The running game didnt carry him either lol, they had 78 yards total rushing and the game ended on a jeremy hill fumble.


Hes played well in a limited amount of starts, idk anyone in FA that qualifies with that aside from Tyrod and Kirk. Everyone else either has no starts or has shown enough that we can safely assume theyre not very good quarterbacks.

Not turning the ball over is kind of important, idk if watching Blake so much has made you forget that. He hasnt done much to equate his worth to a second round pick but thats the nature of supply and demand, and the demand for quarterbacks is high. You have to pay to play.

Umm... actually you did. I`ve used all of his games to point out hes nothing more then a run of the mill game manager and you brought up one drive that he dinked and dunked in for a TD to A.J. Green. The only thing you`ve brought up for why hes good is this one drive that`s it, that literally been your only argument against what was otherwise a garbage performance in that game.

I saw all of McCarron's starts for Cinci and he showed more in his one playoff start than Dalton has in his four. I personally think he's better than some of you guys do and he pulled that playoff game out of his [BLEEP] before Hill bumbled and fumbled it away. I think the knock on him is that he has a run-of-the-mill arm and that's why no one was all that excited about him coming out of Alabama or since. 

 

I don't think we're bringing in someone to challenge Bortles who has questions about his throwing ability. There are enough questions about #5 without adding more of the same

Matt Barkley is pretty much the only one there that has evidence he might actually develop into something one day and Landry Jones hasnt played much. Everyone else has enough starts for us to reasonably decide theyre not actual options. So theyre not comparable in any way to AJ, since AJ is a more limited sample size. If the basis is purely on not turning it over sure Case keenum works but do you actually think signing case keenum makes any sense to sign? Of course not.

He completed 56% of his passes for 212 yards (half of those came on 2 drives) for an Avg of 5.2 yards 1 TD and INT and 3 fumbles one lost. If Bortles had a game like that you would lose it even if he won the game.

You said theres *plenty* of options in FA, weve found *one* who might not even hit the market, and might not even want to sign here. So really we dont have much to go on with this either.
