Ace Sanders

Quote:It's just 4 minutes, and it does not even have the run down the sideline that I thought was his greatest play of the season.  His greatest run, that I reference as the WoW, was when I realized he was legit was called back for some reason.  I don't remember what the penalty was, or who we were playing--- 2013 was a blur of suck and pain.

If anyone else remembers the play I'm talking about, please remind me!  He burned the entire secondary and just looked like lightning in a bottle.  I remember thinking to myself that I had never seen a Jaguar WR look like that before--Full disclosure--- I didn't become a Jaguar fan until 2006

At any rate, Ace was a shining spot that I thought would be a strong piece to our WR puzzle for this year.  I still have some confidence that he'll get his act together.

For anyone to downplay Ace as some joke that should be downplayed because of his substance abuse issue, I'd refer you to certain people that downplay the substance abuse issue as a non-factor for legit players.  LOL

Ace's rookie season considering the number of targets he had, along with plays he made, makes me think that the coaching staff believes he is legit.

I just hope he doesn't fall into the J.Blackmon model.

THat was a nice refresher course, and there were a few nice long plays on there.....however, for his YPC for the season to be under 10 despite those, that shows there was a whole lot of nothing in between. Especially given the KC long plays right off the bat in week 1.

in addition to the 3 I mentioned.

Quote:By the way, J.Blackmon had suck games his rookie year.  He had crocodile hands against GB, and quit on routes during that game as well when the game was on the line.

I never saw Ace ever give up on plays.  I never questioned Ace's heart in terms of catching the ball in traffic.  Justin, on the other hand, gave up many times on plays his rookie year.

I'd give the benefit of the doubt to Ace, and dump Justin any day of the week.  4 times on Sunday.  Ace comes to play.

I just hope Ace figures it out.  He'll be a great asset, he just needs to prioritize.

I'm not questioning Ace's effort/ heart.

His YPC was so low because Fisch decided passing to ace behind the LOS (or within a few yards of it) needed to become a staple of the playbook...other defenses figured it out quickly

Used in a similar way this preseason, most of Marqise Lees receptions are within a few yards of the LOS I think his YPC is like 6 or 7

Yep. Right near 118th. Used to go take my BP there when I was playing 35 and over baseball.

He's saying and doing all the right things, so we'll see if he can get back on the field and prove himself.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Ace Sanders was a nice pick last season. Not a top wid out, but one who will make some plays.

His punt returns were bud light's plays of the game.

Let's trade him for that bust on the jets.

Savy!

TMD....... Ace made plays dude.. Enough plays to think he has a chance to be another little threat to have on offense.

That punt return against the Rams was really nice.. Too bad it got called back from a flag from the other side of the field
