I voted average. I think Obama was handed a very bad situation when he took office: two unfunded wars and the worst recession since 1929. It's hard to make chicken salad out of chicken [BLEEP].
Where he made his biggest mistake was right off the bat, doing healthcare on a party line vote. A change that big must have a bipartisan consensus to work. You mean the one that the president unilaterally has changed a handfull of times already (Illegally so, BTW) That's the one. Any better way for Congress to spend their time and our tax dollars than calling the same vote over 50 times?

It's hard to make chicken salad out of chicken [BAD WORD REMOVED]. His biggest problem has been that the guy (republicans) who drove the car into the ditch have been riding shot gun with him keeping the steering wheel turned in to the curb and the emergency brake pulled the entire time while screaming that he doesn't know how to drive and it needs to be their turn again. Quote:I voted average. I think Obama was handed a very bad situation when he took office: two unfunded wars and the worst recession since 1929. It's hard to make chicken salad out of chicken [BAD WORD REMOVED]. It was a republican plan to begin with. As soon as Obama got on board, they couldn't even consider it. He was naive to think the republicans would actually work with their president but it was a move that would have brought some people from across the aisle together...and of course fix a terribly broken healthcare system and bring healthcare coverage to the millions and millions of the previously uninsured/unisurable.

Ahahaha I love it. Republicans [BLEEP] and moan all day long when it was THEIR idea!

Two wrongs never make a right...no matter how hard you try!!

IMO that's the good argument they have in not liking it. Romney's plan was good for the state. It falls in lines with them wanting states to have the final say in it.
I wish there was an even lower choice other than "I'd wish he'd resign"....I'd have voted for that.
Worst president in my lifetime, although I barely remember Carter. I'm sure that one would be really close to Obama if we were having a "who's worse" contest. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:My first choice is Rand Paul but I know he stands next to no chance winning the nomination That's my point. Too many chefs with too many patrons with different tastes. Many of the younger voters like Paul. The old guard doesn't. It's a Boehner/ MCCain vs Paul/Rubio/Cruz atmosphere. Paul can be deivisive and sometimes trivial, but I like some of his policies/ ideas. But the base won't support him.
Blakes Life Matters
Quote:I wish there was an even lower choice other than "I'd wish he'd resign"....I'd have voted for that. Funny thing is, in 2008, people rated Bush as the worst of all time. I think we're in for a long line of "worst of all time" because a) we're so polarized, and b)after 6 years, people are always tired of whoever the President is. It's taken a special talent for Obama to accomplish that feat. If a poll ever indicated that, it's because they were polling people who didn't live through the Carter malaise. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

His incompetence is pretty much the cause of the entire War Between the States. “An empty vessel makes the loudest sound, so they that have the least wit are the greatest babblers.”. - Plato

Using Mitt Romney as some sort of benchmark that can be used to make it sound like republicans came up with ObamaCare ignores the fact that it was a heavily democratic state house in Massachusetts that passed the law, and a RINO republican in the governor's office to sign it into law. What ObamaCare has become is a FAR cry from what Romney put together in MA. FYI, there are just as many uninsured Americans AFTER ObamaCare as there were before. This was never about providing quality, affordable healthcare to the masses, and if you believe otherwise, step away from the KoolAid. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

In America we vote. I've been around since Eisenhower and have heard the same bellyaching each time a new president is elected and you know what? We still vote every 4 years and the bellyaching will continue.
If your choice fails to get enough votes then stand up and realize that America voted and this Representative, this Senator, and this President is who America wanted. There is ample time to get off your butt to get on your feet to help your choice win the next election. The difference I see today that I didn't see 40 years ago is the hatred toward the person who is elected by our system to hold our highest office no matter which party succeeds. As a civilized nation we should stand arm-in-arm with unity to respect the person who holds the office which leads the free world. Then vote again in the next election.
